TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!

Can you believe Bingo Night is TONIGHT?!

We are in the final countdown making preparations for an unforgettable night of fun supporting Eastview PTO!

Since we are doing something new, we wanted to give you a rundown of the night’s events. Here’s how it’s gonna go:

Bingo Night starts at 6:15pm with check-in going until 7pm

This is when you can pick up your auction number, bingo cards, and purchase extras like additional bingo cards and raffle tickets. Then head over to our silent auction and peruse this year’s offerings!

Once games start, our amazing caller, Mark, will take us through game after game with enough cheesy dad jokes to last 'til Halloween! Bingo winners will receive an envelope filled with prizes from area businesses!

Extra Bingo cards are available for $5 per pack

Halfway through we will play a game of Heads or Tails where the last one standing wins 50% of the pot! Heads or Tails is a fast, high-energy elimination game of chance. Do you have what it takes to win?

Tickets are $20 for one or $40 for three chances to stay in the game and win the pot!

Every few rounds of Bingo, we will close a section of the silent auction and call out winners to come collect your prizes. This is also a fantastic opportunity to get up, stretch, get a drink, and check on your remaining bids!

There are only a few tickets left so register today!

Every registration helps us move closer to our goal of raising funds that directly support Eastview students, staff, and school programs. Your participation makes a meaningful difference to our school community.

Please Note:

This is a 21 and older event. Valid identification may be required.

Come for the fun. Stay for the cause. Make a difference for Eastview students!

Student Medication Reminders

As a reminder, each medication that is to be stored in the nurse’s office (prescribed or over the

counter) MUST have an updated District 300 Medication Authorization form completed by your

child’s doctor and yourself yearly. Medications will not be administered without an up to

date authorization form on file. Medication Authorization Forms and Emergency Action Plans

may be found on the D300 website under Health Services or I am happy to email them to you.

Students ARE NOT ALLOWED to self carry any medications other than emergency medications

at school or on the bus. Any medications found will be confiscated by administration or the nurse.

A parent/guardian must drop off and pick up any medications. All medications, including over

the counter medications, must be in their original labeled containers. If your child requires

any special accommodations for taking medications (pills to be crushed, food to be given, etc)

please let me know. You are responsible for providing any necessary supplies for administration

(food, etc).

Gear Up for Changing Weather! 🍂❄️

As we transition into fall, cooler temperatures are on the way. Students go outside for recess every day, and morning weather can differ greatly from afternoon warmth. Please help your child dress in layers and pack the right gear each morning so they stay comfortable all day.

🧤 Outdoor Gear Checklist

Depending on the daily forecast, please make sure your child brings:

Warm jacket or winter coat
Hats, gloves, or mittens
Snow boots and snow pants (when snow arrives)

Note: Once snow is on the ground, students without snow boots and snow pants must stay on the cleared blacktop area during recess.

👟 Building Independence

Students are responsible for putting on and fastening their own outerwear. Please keep ease-of-use in mind when selecting gear, and encourage your child to practice zipping, buttoning, and pulling on boots independently at home!

🌡️ Indoor Recess & Medical Excuses

Weather Policy: Recess will move indoors if it is raining or if the temperature/wind chill drops below 10°F.
Medical Excuses: All students go outside for recess unless a written note is provided.
- 1–3 Days: A signed parent/guardian note stating the reason and date is required to excuse a student from physical education or outdoor recess for short-term health reasons.
- More than 3 Consecutive Days: A written doctor’s note is required for long-term excuses.

💳 Getting Ready with PushCoin

District 300 uses PushCoin for all school-related payments, including school fees, student meals, field trips, and our Birthday Book Club. We highly encourage all families to set up their accounts before the school year begins so you are ready to go!

Halloween Celebrations at Eastview! 🎃

We are looking forward to celebrating Halloween together on Thursday, October 29th! Please review the guidelines below regarding costumes and our annual parade. For details on classroom-specific activities, keep an eye out for information directly from your child's teacher.

Costume Guidelines To ensure a safe and comfortable day for everyone, please keep these rules in mind when choosing school-appropriate costumes:

Keep it safe and gentle: Avoid costumes that depict violence, and leave all costume weapons (swords, sticks, toy guns, etc.) at home.
Visibility first: Masks should not be worn at school if they obstruct your child's view.
Leave cosmetics at home: Makeup and colored hair dye should not be brought to school.

Halloween Parade (9:00 AM)

Outdoor Parade (Weather Permitting): We will parade outside around the school starting at 9:00 AM. Parents are invited to cheer us on from the blacktop or along the front lawn!
Indoor Contingency (In Case of Rain): If rain keeps us inside, students will parade through the hallways. Due to space constraints, we will unfortunately not be able to accommodate parent spectators indoors.

Thank you for helping us make this a fun, safe, and memorable celebration for all of our students!

PTO Trunk or Treat

We’re excited to invite everyone to our upcoming Trunk-or-Treat event! It will be held October 23rd from 5:30-7:00 PM (rain date 10/29/26). This is a fun opportunity for our community to come together for some Halloween cheer. We will be having a raffle and the Rico Loco Tacos Food Truck available for purchase.

We’re inviting our Eastview families and friends to sign up to decorate their cars and hand out candy, as well. We expect to have 400+ kids this year; so the more cars we have, the better the event will be! It’s a great way to show off your creativity and enjoy a fun evening with the Wildcats. We will also be voting on "Best Dressed Trunk" so if you're competitive, bring it on!

If you're interested in hosting a vehicle, please use the signup genius link to reserve your spot. Let’s make this a memorable night for our kids and a wonderful way to celebrate the season!

Help Us Pack the PAWs Store

Our Eastview PAWs Store is a fun way to recognize students for demonstrating positive behavior and following our schoolwide expectations. Students earn PAWs throughout the school day and use them to “shop” for special prizes and incentives—and they LOVE their trips to the store!

We are working to keep our store stocked with items our students will enjoy, and we would greatly appreciate your help! Families may donate gently used or overstock toys, leftover party favors, outgrown Eastview spirit wear, or other kid-friendly items. Donations may be dropped off at the Eastview front office.

Prefer to shop online? We have also created an Amazon Wish List with a variety of fun, student-friendly prizes at different price points. Items purchased from the wish list can be shipped directly to Eastview.

[ Shop the Eastview PAWs Store Amazon Wish List]

Donations are completely optional and greatly appreciated. Please feel free to share our wish list with family and friends or on social media! Every contribution helps us celebrate the positive choices our Eastview students make each day.

Thank you for helping us PACK the PAWs Store!

📞 Reporting Student Absences

If your child is going to be absent, please let us know right away! Using our dedicated attendance lines ensures our office team gets the message immediately, even if your child's teacher is out of the building.

How to report an absence: Email attendance.eastview@D300.org or call 847.532.7420.
Please do not text the teacher: Texting or messaging the teacher directly can lead to missed information.
Appointments: If your student is missing school for a doctor, dentist, or therapy appointment, please send a note from the provider when they return.
Absences longer than 2 days: Please complete a Pre-Arranged Absence Form and email or drop it off at the main office.
