🍂 October has been a month full of excitement, celebration, and Bear pride! 💙🐻 From recognizing our incredible campus leaders during National Principals Month to continuing conversations about the Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE), there’s so much happening across La Vernia ISD.

🐻💙 We’re gearing up for something big — the Voter-Approval Tax Rate Election (VATRE). This election allows voters to decide on a measure that could generate additional funding for competitive pay and ongoing maintenance expenses — without adding new debt.

✅ Local dollars stay local
✅ Supports day-to-day operations
✅ Helps us offer more competitive pay compared to surrounding districts

Important note about the ballot language:

State law requires the ballot to state this is a “tax increase,” even though the total tax rate would be lower than the current rate.

We’re thrilled to announce the new addition to our campus is on the way — and it looks amazing! 🐻💙 With construction moving full steam ahead, we’re proud to share that the official ribbon cutting is set for November 2025! ✂️🎉

Thanks to the support of our community and the 2023 Bond, our little Bears will soon enjoy new spaces designed for learning, growth, and endless possibilities! 📚✨
