A Message from Mrs. Belcher:
Stewart families,
We are looking forward to a fun fall! There will be many events and activities around the corner. Be sure to stay in the loop by reading this weekly newsletter and by following us on social media.
Thank you for your support of our campus book fair! It could not have happened without Ms. Shafer, our parent volunteers, our staff, and our wonderful community! It is so fun to watch our students get so excited about reading!
Woodforest sent out a memo this past week regarding vehicle, golf cart, and ATV safety. Please be mindful when driving to adhere to all safety laws. Please also be mindful of our students who walk/bike to school. Safety is our top priority.
School attendance directly correlates to student success! Please make every effort to have your child at school each day, on time, and for the full duration of the school day. Instruction begins at 7:55 a.m. If your student is not inside the building by 7:55 a.m., please park, walk your child inside, and sign your child in for the day. Please do not drop your child off in front of the school after 7:55 a.m. as this is a safety concern. As a friendly reminder, students must be present at least 90% of the school year. Missed instructional minutes due to tardies or early dismissals add up to missed instructional days. Our instructional day goes goes from 7:55 a.m. to 3:10 p.m. Please see our attendance policy linked as a button at the bottom of this newsletter for more information. Thank you for partnering with us to maximize our instructional day and to help your student grow!
Have a great week,
Kristen Belcher, Principal
