Hello Wauwatosa Montessori School Community,
I am pleased to share with you the results of our recent staff and student surveys. As our School Learning Team and Grace and Courtesy Team reviewed this data, we have identified the following highlights and areas for growth.
Student Survey
100% of students feel that their teachers care about them.
100% of students feel safe at school
89% of students responded that “I always do my best, even when learning is hard”
94% of students responded that students at my school support each other's learning.
100% of students reported that “my school treats all people with all different backgrounds fairly”
Staff Survey
100% of staff feel they regularly collaborate with peers
78% of staff feel that their administrator provides them with effective feedback to grow in their practice
83% of staff believe that they work of the teams they are on directly ties to school improvement efforts
89% of staff enjoy coming to work each day.
78% of staff feel that professional development is relevant to their daily work.
Thank you to all who took the time to complete the survey. Your feedback is valuable. In our school growth plan, we are continuously striving to improve. In our School Growth Plan, we are striving to provide relevant professional opportunities to continuously improve the quality of Montessori education we provide to our students, opportunities for teachers to grow their practice by observing in other Montessori classrooms, and common planning time opportunities for co-planning to co-serve for all learners. Further, this year we have implemented rapid cycle feedback to support teachers in growing in a self-identified area of focus throughout the year while supporting our school-wide efforts such as AMS accreditation and planning for access for all learners including students with special needs, students who need enrichment and students who are not yet at proficiency and need further strategies to boost achievement.
