Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday are regular school days. There is no school on Thursday, November 5th and Friday, November 6th for the NJEA Convention.

The link to order yearbooks is open. This is only for 6th and 7th grade families. If you are an 8th grade parent, please do not order one as you pay for it through the 8th grade fees (the email was shared last week).

The last day of the first marking period is November 4th. Report cards will be posted on Genesis on Friday, November 13th.

PV will have its annual Fall Night Out on Friday, November 13th from 5:00-7:00 at the school. There will be games, some inflatables in the gym, and snacks/drinks for purchase. Tickets are $10 for entry or $15 for entry and two slices of pizza. Tickets will be on sale Wednesday 11/11 and Friday 11/13.

Boys’ and Girls’ basketball tryouts will be held on the following dates and times:

Tuesday, November 17

• Girls: 2:45–4:15 p.m.

• Boys: 4:16–5:45 p.m.

Wednesday, November 18

• Girls: 2:45–4:15 p.m.

• Boys: 4:16–5:45 p.m.

Thursday, November 19

• Boys: 2:45–4:15 p.m.

• Girls: 4:16–5:45 p.m.

PV students are invited to attend tutoring sessions at PTHS on Mondays and Wednesday beginning October 5th. National Honor Society students will be working with those students who attend. The October dates are as follows: October 5th, 7th, 14th, 19th, 21st, 26th, and 28th.

Any families that might benefit from free and reduced lunch are encouraged to check out the district’s website and consider applying. If you qualified last year, please be sure to apply again this year as the program requires annual updates. Also, some families might also qualify under the New Jersey Expanded Income Eligibility (NJEIE) program. Students will receive lunches identical to those of their peers and their information remains confidential.

If a parent receives a Robocall after 9:00 A.M., this means that the school received neither an email nor a phone call pertaining to their absence. If you receive this call, you must contact the school.
