COLT CONNECTION
October 22nd, 2026
Next Week Is Spirit Week!
Students are allowed to wear costumes to school on Friday, 10/30. However, costumes must adhere to district dress code policies. Similarly, students' costumes must not be inflatable, made of latex, or include any type of mask or covers their face so we cannot idenify them. Students should not bring any objects that resemble any type of weapon. We want our students to have fun but do so in a safe manner that does not impede our academic processes.

Volunteers
Calling All Colt Families! We Need You!
At Deer Valley Middle School, we believe it takes a team to help our students succeed, and our parents and guardians are an important part of that team! We’re looking for volunteers who are willing to lend a hand with lunch supervision, assisting teachers in the copy room, and helping plan school events.
We’d also love to connect with parents and guardians interested in starting a Parent-Student-Teacher Organization (PSTO) to help strengthen our school community and create even more opportunities for our Colts!
Whether you have a little time or a lot, your support makes a difference. If you’re interested in volunteering or learning more about starting a PSTO, please reach out to the school office. We’d love to have you on our team! Email Jackie Durham @ jackie.durham@dvusd.org.
