Welcome to Our Monthly Newsletter!

We are grateful for your continued trust and partnership with our team. As we prepare to step into 2026, we reflect on the progress, resilience, and meaningful moments we shared with you throughout the past year. A new year brings hope and possibility — and sometimes uncertainty. At Hamilton Wellness, our purpose remains the same: to provide a supportive space where you can care for your mental health, strengthen your well-being, and feel truly understood.

We know that personal growth is not linear, and we are honored to accompany you through life’s highs, lows, and everything in between. Your well-being continues to be at the center of everything we do, and we are committed to helping you stay grounded, connected, and empowered as you move forward into this year.

Thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. Wishing you clarity, balance, and renewed energy in the months ahead.

With gratitude,
The Hamilton Wellness Team

Welcome, Amanda!

We are thrilled to welcome Amanda Lionas, LMSW, to the Hamilton Wellness team! Her experience, compassion, and commitment to client-centered care make her a wonderful addition to our practice.

Amanda is a Licensed Master Social Worker with over 10 years of diverse experience supporting individuals and families in reaching their full potential. She is passionate about helping clients recognize their strengths, overcome obstacles, and cultivate a deeper sense of personal wellness.

Amanda brings a rich background across multiple settings — including substance abuse treatment, foster care and adoption, Community Mental Health, and insurance-based advocacy — which allows her to meet clients with deep understanding and compassion. She works with teens and adults, with a special focus on:

  • Life transitions & adjustment challenges

  • Perinatal and postpartum support

  • Parenting guidance

  • Women’s issues & relationship concerns

  • ADHD & autism

  • Anxiety & depression

  • Bipolar & other mood disorders

  • Substance use concerns

Amanda believes that healing is not a one-size-fits-all process. Your journey is unique, and therapy should be too. Her approach is warm, trauma-informed, and solution-focused — always centered on your goals and comfort. She incorporates a blend of evidence-based techniques including CBT, ACT, motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and psychodynamic therapy.

With Amanda, you’ll find a safe and supportive space to explore your experiences holistically and discover what brings peace, resilience, and stability to your life.

Q & A:

Q:Can you tell us about your background and what led you to become a therapist?

A: I am from Rochester, Michigan and currently live in one of my childhood homes! But I have lived all over Metro Detroit, in North Carolina, in Boston, and Spain, and I think getting to see so many sides to life as I grew up and became a young adult made me interested to hear more of people's experiences, and help them gain new perspectives. Even my career has been varied, as I have been all over in the field of Social Work- in substance abuse, school, foster care, community mental health case, and managed care, and am excited to settle down into therapy now.

Q: How do you stay current with developments in the field of mental health?

A: I am one of those nerds- I love trainings and reading when I have time! I try to find as many new ones as possible, and am excited to begin my EMDR training, to be able to start providing EMDR in the new year!

Supporting the Community Supporting the Community

This holiday season, we are once again excited to participate in the Adopt a Family program through the Macomb Charitable Foundation, helping to bring joy and support to families in need. By donating gifts, essentials, and holiday cheer, we can make a positive impact on the lives of local families facing difficult circumstances. It's a wonderful opportunity for us to give back to the community and spread the spirit of giving during this special time of year.
