Aldine ISD Back to School EXPO
Thanks to the generosity of our community partners and the hard work of enthusiastic volunteers, our Back to School Expo was a BIG success! On Saturday, August 6, over 2,000 cars lined up at the M.O. Campbell Educational Center to receive backpacks and school supplies. More than 8,000 Aldine students benefited from receiving free school supplies. While receiving the supplies, families shared with us how this event helped alleviate the expenses they make at the beginning of the year to prepare their students for the school year.
Welcome to the FACE Team
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team has two new faces. Charlotte Wynn and Gina Mann are our new District FACE liaisons who will provide support to Cypresswood Elementary, Francis Elementary, Jones Elementary, and Jones Middle School. This new FACE initiative will help these schools improve their family engagement by offering parent training and family events and building strong partnerships with the community.
Bank of America Art Display
The Family and Community Engagement Department has partnered with Bank of America to display Aldine ISD students' artwork at Greenspoint's location. This month, Reed Academy's young artists expressed their artistic talents through art. Each picture is an expression of the artist's creativity.
FACE Presentations
The Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team offered engaging presentations at the Aldine ISD New Employee Orientation held at Davis High School on August 8th and at the Counselors' Back to School Conference at Hall Academy on August 10th. These FACE presentations will help school staff establish positive relationships with the families.
