Dear Eastview Families,

I wanted to take a moment to express our gratitude for the wonderful first nine weeks of school we've had together. Your support and involvement have been truly remarkable, and it's been a joy to see our students thriving.

As we move forward, please remember that school will be closed on October 11, 2023, as our dedicated teachers participate in professional development and parent-teacher conferences. These conferences provide a valuable opportunity for you to connect with your child's teacher, discuss their progress, and learn how you can support their learning at home. Our goal is to have 100% participation in these conferences, so if you are unable to make your scheduled conference time, please notify the teacher immediately to reschedule.

While you are visiting the school during conferences, if you've had any changes in your address or phone number, it would be an ideal time to update that information with our building secretary.

Mark your calendars for October 13th, when we invite all families to our P.T.O. Fallapalooza from 5:30-7:30. This event promises trunk or treating, delicious food, face painting, a pumpkin patch, and an exciting silent auction. We hope to see you there!

We also want to express our appreciation for the fantastic turnout at our back-to-school open house and literacy night. It was heartwarming to see families enjoy a night of fun centered around our school-wide book study, "Because of Winn-Dixie." The Puppy Love 4-H Club's dog show was a hit, and there were many other engaging activities, including puppy chow snack making, Bingo for Books, and various crafts.

Once again, we extend our heartfelt thanks to our families, teachers, and support staff for their kindness, amazing dedication, and unwavering commitment to doing what's best for our children. Together, we make a positive difference in the lives of our students.

Warm regards,

Kate Charlton, principal
