Dragon News

Happy Friday CPS Families,

October is one of our favorite months here at CPS. There are many fun and engaging activities happening in classrooms around the autumn season and students are in full learning mode here at CPS. We are observing so many good things happening with students as they learn and grow both socially and academically.

On October 31st during the school day, we will take part in Pajamas 4 a Purpose. Students and staff are encouraged to wear PJ's to school and also bring in a donation for the China Community Food Pantry. We will have a PJ Parade to start our day along with a fun snack for classrooms. Please see the attached flyer.

We also have two 4 day weeks coming up for staff and students. We also wanted to mention that our attendance at CPS has been AWESOME! We have been over 96% in attendance everyday! Thank YOU families for making school the place to be during the week! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather!

Dear parents,

All families can also log on and order a FREE Digital SmileSafe card.

More about the Smilesafe program here.

Thank you!

Please direct any email regarding student absences and/or student dismissals to your child's teacher AND to our CPS office staff, Mae Slevinsky (mslevinsky@rsu18.org) and Bobbie Weymouth (bweymouth@rsu18.org).

Please be sure to communicate any changes for end of day dismissal plans prior to 2:00pm so students can be sure to receive their notes.

Please make sure to send in your health history forms and any other health related forms ASAP so that we have all the information needed to take the best care of our students. As a reminder, please DO NOT send any medications including inhalers and epipens in with your child. ALL medications must be brought to school by an adult and handed off to the nurse (or appropriate staff if the nurse is unavailable).

👟👟 Just a friendly reminder to please send students in sneakers on their Phys Ed days. Proper footwear helps keep everyone safe and ready to participate in all activities!

Next meeting is Thursday, October 9th at 6pm on Google Meet! Here's the link: https://meet.google.com/tks-adrj-vkn

One of our fundraisers at the Craft Show is our raffle baskets. Here’s how it works:

• We turn those donations into a basket
• We sell tickets during the craft show and pull the winners at the end.

On the PTO Facebook page, we are voting on themes for the baskets. Join the vote!

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/16FvhznPpn/? and we will follow up soon with the themes by grade.
