Celebrating Our Retirees!
During this week's final Community Gathering of the school year, we celebrated three incredible educators who are retiring. Read a little about each of them below.
Erin Ciemiewicz has spent the last 36 years dedicated to the students of PUSD, with an incredible 23 of those years right here as a founding pillar of Stone Ranch.
Erin is the definition of a master educator. For over two decades at our school, her unique ability to connect deeply with students and her fierce dedication to teaching have left an indelible mark on every single child lucky enough to walk through her classroom doors. She didn't just teach our students how to read and write; she taught them how to love school.
Erin, has laid the groundwork for generations of Trailblazers. Her impact on the Stone Ranch community is permanent, profound, and deeply cherished. We cannot thank her enough for a lifetime of service. Congratulations, Erin!
Cassie Brown has spent nearly two decades bringing warmth, patience, and joy to the Poway Unified School District. For the past 9 years, she has been the heart and soul of our early childhood classrooms here at Stone Ranch.
Cassie absolutely loves working with our littlest learners. Transitioning into school can be a big step for our TK students, but Cassie’s incredible dedication and deep compassion have made Stone Ranch a safe, welcoming, and happy place for them to grow. Quite simply, she has been instrumental to the phenomenal success of our TK program.
Cassie's gentle spirit and unwavering support have shaped the very foundation of so many young lives here. We are going to miss her more than words can say. We thank her for everything, and congratulate her on her well-deserved retirement!
Les Delos Santos has been a cornerstone of the Poway Unified community for about 30 years, spending the last two decades right here making magic happen at Stone Ranch.
Les is a master of all subjects, but anyone who has been in his classroom knows he has a special gift for making math click for our students. But his talents don't stop at the whiteboard. Fun fact for our community: Les is actually a retired professional DJ! He has brought that same energy, rhythm, and crowd-pleasing passion to teaching every single day.
Les, has often said that Stone Ranch feels like a second family to him. Well, that feeling is entirely mutual. Les is a true Trailblazer, and while we will miss his beat, we wish him the absolute best in his next track: retirement!

Lydia’s cover is a beautiful watercolor piece called “Fitting Together in Friendship.” We hope everyone enjoys the beautiful yearbook!
Fall 2026 ESS Interest Application Reminder
The Fall 2026 ESS Interest Application is now open and will remain open through June 7. All interested families may apply at any time during this initial application window.
