The Future of Technology in Our Schools is on the Ballot in November
The Future of Technology in Our Schools is on the Ballot in November
This November, our community will vote on renewing and increasing the technology levy that supports our schools. First approved in 2015, this levy is what makes things like student iPads, digital curriculum, Wi-Fi, and cybersecurity possible every day. If the levy isn’t renewed, the district would lose more than $9.1 million each year—funds we count on to keep students connected and learning. Early voting opens this Friday, Sept. 19!

The first purpose of the Activity Fair is to get more students involved by showing them the opportunities they have at EHS. Research has demonstrated that student involvement in co-curricular activities leads to stronger connections and success for students. The second purpose of the fair is to get more students involved with Homecoming. We are anticipating three very exciting days!!!
Freshmen Retreat
Thursday, October 30, 2025
All Day at Dakota Hills Middle School (lunch will be provided)
The Youth Frontiers Respect Retreat® inspires students to respect themselves more, to respect others and to stand up for respect in your school. The retreat reminds students that they matter, and that there is a supportive community of educators, mentors and classmates around them. We challenge students with the message that someone acting with character does not make fun of, bully or torment anyone for any reason. We engage the bystanders to stand up for the value of respect in your hallways, lunch lines and classrooms. Participation in the retreat results in cognitive, attitudinal and behavioral shifts that decrease students’ distractions to learning and build a positive school community.
This is a high energy day filled with games, music, talks and small group discussions.
The cost is $25

If a parent/guardian needs to have a student depart during the school day, or arrive late due to an appointment (medical, dental, counseling, etc.) a call to our Attendance Office is needed. Call 651-683-6911. A pass will be prepared for the student to depart and check back in upon return. Students may pick up the yellow pass anytime during the school day- it is on the front counter of the Attendance Office.

Run/Walk to Remember Our Fallen 196 Graduates
For the past several years, many of us have participated in the Warrior 196 5K in September to honor the fallen service members who were graduates of our school district. With the race discontinued, our local wear blue: run to remember – Lakeville community has decided to highlight our fallen 196 graduates with our next monthly run/walk on Saturday, September
27 at 8 a.m. at Casperson Park in Lakeville. Our events begin with a Circle of Remembrance where we call out names of fallen service members and in doing so, create a living memorial. We then take purposeful steps in honor of the fallen, the fighting, and the families. This is not a race, no registration is required, and there is never any cost to participate. After the circle, I will review a 3-mile route, but no distance is too far or too short to remember. All ages and ability levels are welcome; strollers and 4-legged friends are also welcome to join.
Please feel free to invite anyone who may want to join in remembering our 196 grad who gave the ultimate sacrifice. Let me know if you have any questions. If you are on Facebook, I regularly update event information on our wear blue: run to remember – Lakeville Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/share/g/16HJ5aH1un/?mibextid=wwXIfr
