Our Fun Run fairies will be at Academy on Monday March 18 to distribute prizes earned so far! More details about incentives can be found below.

- Can I watch Fun Run?

• Of course! Show up around 9:45 on the day of the event and watch us the event! Feel free to bring signs and your loudest cheering voice! Please note- there is NO PARKING on the Academy campus- you must park on Candia, Sutton or elsewhere off Academy Ave).

- Does my child need water that day?

• Water is always a good idea- the kids will be running around for about 30-45 minutes. We will have some water provided, but last year we ran out early!

- How do I donate cash/checks?

• Put them in an envelope marked with your students name and teacher on it and send it to school in your child's folder! The office will make sure we get it.

- Who do we make checks out to?

• Checks can be made out to AAPC (Academy Avenue Parent Council).

All money raised will be going towards adding seating and shade to the playground. We are waiting on a final approval of the space before we can break ground!

We are also working on building an outdoor classroom! This is something the teachers have been asking for for a long time! It is a concurrent project with the playground, so you should see some progress in both areas this spring! The outdoor classroom will be housed on the back of the baseball field. Teachers will be able to sign up for a slot to take their classes outside and teach a class in the sunshine.

In 2022, our Fun Run raised $30,868. Of that, we were able to keep $29,774 for Parent Council!

In 2023, our Fun Run raised $24,963. Of that, we were able to keep $23,192 for Parent Council!

By clicking on the "donor credit" button and covering the fees, we are able to keep more of the money raised!

ALL money raised goes back into Academy... in the past few years, the money raised has gone towards new recess equipment for each grade (2 times!), assemblies, supplies for all the teachers, field trips and setting aside money for the outdoor classroom and playground.
