MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
CHS Community,
What a three day week! Despite the weather-related challenges, including two calamity days and the postponement of several winter sports events, and adjustments to our academic schedule, our school community has remained resilient and focused on learning.
MIDTERM WEEK
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming midterm exam week, which will take place the week of December 16th. Here's the schedule:
- Monday: White Day - No Midterms
- Tuesday: Red Day - Periods 1 and 5 Midterms
- Wednesday: Red Day - Periods 3 and 7 Midterms
- Thursday: Black Day - Periods 4 and 8 Midterms
- Friday: Black Day - Periods 2 and 6 Midterms
It's important to note that students are expected to attend school for the entire day on each of these days, even if they only have one or two midterms. There will be no "open campus" format for this midterm week.
We understand that this schedule may require some adjustments, but we appreciate your support in ensuring your child is prepared for these important assessments.

Winter Games:
During lunch periods, Student Council will host multiple winter themed games for students to compete in. Games include: musical chairs, wrapping competitions, and making it snow (ripping tissues out of a box). Prizes will be awarded to winners.
Staff Door Decorating Contest:
Student Council would like to see your winter and holiday spirit throughout the building! We will be holding a door decorating contest the week of 12/9 (winter spirit week), and we would like for as many staff members to participate as possible!
If you don't have a room, share a classroom, or travel, no worries! Join with another staff member or decorate your office, desk, or window space!
Members of student council will come take photos of each decorated door at the end of the day Thursday, 12/12. Photos will be provided in a google form and students will vote on Friday, 12/13. The door that receives the most votes will be awarded a gift card prize. Please fill out this google form with your name and space you will be decorating!
Happy Holidays!
JEREMY'S KIDS
The mission of Jeremy's kids is to provide holiday gifts for at need families in Geauga County. In over 20 years of giving back to the community, we have raised over $130,000. With the money raised, Chardon High School students are given the opportunity to go to local stores and shop for these families.
If your student is making an in person donation, collected during school hours starting December 2nd, we prefer cash or check. Please make checks out to Chardon Board of Education and in the memo section write, Jeremy's Kids
