Welcome to another great academic year at AZVA and ISAZ! I can't wait to meet with you and your student to discuss challenges and help to find solutions to the difficulties you are facing, but first, please let me tell you a little bit about myself.
I have over 20 years of experience working with youth and their families, and this is my 9th year working at AZVA and ISAZ. Prior to my time here, I worked for 8 years as a clinical social worker/therapist, specializing in child and adolescent trauma and before that I spent 6 years working for Mesa Public Schools.
My education includes earning Bachelor and Master of Social Work Degrees through Arizona State University. Go Sun Devils! I have earned various additional certifications since my time at ASU.
Arizona has been "home" for most of my life and I enjoy camping, hiking, fishing, and stargazing in the mountains of our beautiful state. I love baseball and have spent the majority of my spare time sitting behind a baseball stand as my three boys played from the time they were in kindergarten through college. My middle son even played pro-ball for the Kansas City Royals organization for several years! I have five amazing children and two crazy doodles, all of whom bring joy and adventure into my life.
