Principal Message Principal Message

Good Evening, Lipscomb Families!

I hope everyone stayed safe and warm during last week’s snow days. While we missed having students on campus Thursday and Friday, it was wonderful to see so many of you earlier in the week at Pizza with the Principal! Thank you for making it such a special event filled with connection and community spirit.

We also kicked off our Disney Musicals in Schools program, and the excitement is already building for what promises to be a magical experience this spring. A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this launch such a success!

I’m also thrilled to share some exciting news: compared to this time last year, our campus-wide performance in both reading and math has improved by double digits! This amazing growth is a reflection of the hard work of our teachers, the determination of our students, and your continued support at home. Let’s keep the momentum going!

This week, students in grades 3-5 will be taking Standard Mastery Checks (SMCs). These assessments are an important way to ensure your child is on track and receiving the support they need to succeed. Please help us by encouraging your student to do their best and reminding them of how important this step is as we move closer to the finish line!

Thank you for your partnership and commitment to Excellence, Not Without Effort. Wishing you and your family a wonderful week ahead!

Warm regards,

Mr. Carter

Hello,

Congratulations to your student on completing the Diagnostic! As I’ve mentioned before, the Diagnostic is an important tool we use to understand your student better and where we can offer the best support. Here’s a quick video to help you understand how we use results from the Diagnostic.

You can also talk to your student about the work they just completed and learn more about their progress. Here are some questions you can use to spark a discussion:

  • What was it like to take the Diagnostic? What did you do during the test to make sure you did your best?
  • Tell me about some of the reflections you’ve made from your data. What are you proud of? What do you need to work on?
  • What goals did you set based on this Diagnostic?
  • How can I help support your goals?

Thank you again for your continued partnership and support in your student’s learning.
