March 3 - Central registration for 25/26 School year will open officially on Monday 3/3/25 @ 8:00 a.m. Future Kindergarten families... this is the announcement that you have been waiting for.

March 6 - 3rd Grade Concerts @ 5:30 or 6:45 (see flyer below)

Note: We will be selling flowers (carnations), popcorn, and bottles of water for $1 each if you want to support our students and the PTO. First come, first served. Sales will be at booths just inside the doors and will close during the concert out of respect for the performers.

March 12 - Family First Night

March 14 - No School for students Professional Development Day for staff

March 19 - PTO Meeting at Powers

March 20 - 1st Grade Concerts @ 5:30 or 6:45

Preschool Little Comets Literacy Night

Last Thursday evening during conference night, our Little Comets preschool staff hosted a Little Comets Literacy Night at the Amherst Public Library. Over 20 families attended the event and left with resources to support phonological awareness, alphabet knowledge, oral language, vocabulary, and comprehension at home. The evening also included two time slots for an interactive family storytime organized by APL Youth Services librarian, Megan Karhusz, who modeled read aloud tips and tricks and suggestions on great interactive books to read to littles.
