3.13.26 Family Message
Greetings Gearity Families:
Join us tomorrow for the free family ice skating party: the party runs from 5:30 - 7:00 at the Cleveland Heights Rec Center. Mr. Sullivan has arranged for all Gearity families to get free ice skates and ice time for the event. Whether you are a novice or an expert, this is a great way to connect with our school community and possibly experience something new. This is our second year of hosting the event and we hope to continue to have a strong turnout.
Reminder - due to conferences our students will not have school next Thursday and Friday. The student spring break will start next Thursday and they will return to school on March 30th. Students need to be in attendance Monday - Wednesday as classes will completing projects and assessments can work on grades for quarter 3 Thursday morning.
See Something, Say Something: As the District shared in January, as part of our continued PBIS and Social Emotional Learning efforts, schools are providing routine expectation assemblies focused on safety and prevention, including gun safety awareness. Additional parent programming has been planned in collaboration with the district’s family and community partners. Part one of this gun safety series, See Something, Say Something, is March 18 at 6 p.m. Attendees can build common gun safety knowledge and receive resources. Register here; the workshop will be virtual. Tune into the CH-UH YouTube channel to view. Additional information about this programming can be found on our website here.
Kalahari Fundraiser Ends on the 13th! Mrs. Smith is extending the deadline for the fundraiser to Wednesday after speaking to several parents. Please reach out to her if you are planning to participate. All funds go to support classroom activities and field trips.
Conference Scheduling is underway! Conferences are March 19th from 1-7pm and March 20th from 8:15 - 11:30. We encourage in person conferences, but will make video conferencing available if that works best for your schedule. Students will not be in attendance on conference days! Teachers should have sent you information for scheduling conferences.
