Key Details & Selection Process

It is time for students to select their elective choices for the 2027–2028 school year!

Please review the key details and instructions below with your student before they submit their choices:

  • Student-Led Process: Students must enter their elective choices directly through the Student PowerSchool Portal.
  • Number of Requests: Students need to select a total of 6 choices—3 top-choice electives and 3 alternate electives.
  • Application-Only Electives: ASB, Athletics, AVID, Journalism, and Surf (8th grade only) require a separate application. Note: If your student is applying for one of these, they must still select regular electives in PowerSchool as placeholders.
  • Yearlong Commitment: All elective courses are yearlong classes and cannot be changed during the school year.
  • Course Info: Course descriptions and application links are listed on the Correia Course Offerings

⚠️ Deadline

All course requests must be submitted in PowerSchool no later than 11:59 PM on Monday, November 30.

Please note: If a student does not complete their selections in PowerSchool by the deadline, classes will be assigned to them automatically.

Thank you for supporting your student through the course registration process! Please reach out to your student's school counselor if you have any questions.

Best regards,

Correia Middle School Administration

FODAC Weekly Update

7th vs. 8th Grade: Battle of the Bills!

This week is sabotage week! With the 7th grade team having a commanding lead in the battle of the bills, this is your chance, 8th graders, to earn some serious points!

Anything but a penny (11/9 - 11/13): Drop any cash, except pennies, during the final week into the rival team's container to give them negative points. Pennies (if you can find them) are positive points so you'll want to put those in YOUR TEAM's container. *Cash donations do not count towards individual prizes.

ASB Donation Page

Thank you for supporting our ASB. Together, we can continue to create a memorable and exciting middle school experience for all students on our campus.

Important Reminder: Early Student Pick-Ups During Lunch

Dear Families,

If you need to pick up your student early during their lunch period for a pre-planned appointment, please ask them in advance to meet you in the front office, or check with them on where they usually eat or hang out on campus.

Because lunch is a free-flowing time with students spread across campus, having this information allows office staff to locate and call them down much faster—reducing your wait time at checkout.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in keeping our campus running smoothly!

Warm regards,

Correia Office Staff
