PSAT- Friday, March 27th- Required for 9th & 10th Graders
On Friday, March 27, all freshmen & sophomores at Musselman High School are required to take the PSAT (Preliminary SAT Test). This assessment is an important part of preparing our students for life after high school.
Here’s why it matters:
College and Career Readiness: The PSAT helps students see where they stand academically and what they need to strengthen before graduation.
Scholarship Opportunities
SAT Preparation: The PSAT is the best practice for the SAT, which is widely used in college admissions and for awarding scholarships.
Personalized Support: Results connect directly to free study tools through College Board and Khan Academy.
Testing room assignments will be posted around the school and on Schoology prior to the test day. Please encourage your student to check these lists so they know exactly where to report.
Regardless of your student’s post-secondary plans—whether they plan to attend college, pursue a trade, join the military, or enter the workforce—the PSAT is an opportunity to demonstrate focus, determination, and pride in their work. This is especially true for our CTE students, who benefit from strong test results as they showcase their academic abilities alongside their technical skills. Performing well reflects positively on them, their program, and our school.
To help your child do their best, please make sure they get a good night’s sleep, eat breakfast, and arrive on time to school. Participation is expected of all juniors, and we are excited to see them take advantage of this opportunity.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we are helping our students put their Roots Downand Rise Up toward their future success.

Contact & Emergency Information Update
Keeping contact and emergency information current is vital for your student’s safety and well-being. As part of the Annual Forms & Information Updates, families are required to review and update all emergency contacts, phone numbers, and addresses.
This ensures that the school can quickly reach parents or guardians in case of an emergency or urgent situation. Accurate information helps staff respond effectively and provides peace of mind knowing your child is supported at all times.
The primary and secondary parent/caregiver listed on the Annual Forms & Information Updates are automatically signed up to receive NTouch alerts for attendance and important updates from the district and your student's school.
Lunch Menus
All school meals are free again this year thanks to our Board of Education. Breakfast and Lunch Menus can be viewed on Nutrislice. It is recommended that you download this app on your phones so that you have easy access.
