Principal's Message
Hello Yowell Families, this is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update!
We are gearing up for our 3rd Annual Trick-or-Treat Night, and we need your help to make it a truly memorable evening for our students! 🎃👻 We are looking for 8 more families to decorate a door area and pass out provided treats to our trick-or-treaters. This is always such a fun night for our kids to come out and enjoy a safe, family-friendly evening together. Each child who wants to receive treats must have a wristband. The first shift is sold out, but there’s still room in the second shift if you’d like to RSVP — we’d love to have you join the fun!
Our students had an amazing time at the Fundraiser’s Day of Awesome this past Thursday — it was one of those happy days that remind us how special our Yowell community truly is. 💙
This week we’ll be practicing both an earthquake drill and an evacuation drill to make sure our students know exactly what to do in any emergency. The Great SouthEast ShakeOut happens this Wednesday, October 16th at 10:16 a.m., and we’ll be joining in!

A quick reminder that Wednesday is the last day to submit yearbook cover designs to Mrs. Korona. We can’t wait to see all the creativity from our students!
And finally, tomorrow marks the start of the 2nd quarter. Report cards will come home in next week’s Tuesday folder.

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here. Also, this is the direct link to transportation.
Parents of students Pre-K through Grade 3 are expected to meet their children at the bus stop. Failure to do so will result in the child(ren) being returned to school. Should you choose to allow your child(ren) to be dropped off without supervision in the afternoon, please fill out and return this document.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.

School Resource Officer (SRO)
We are happy to have a School Resource Officer (SRO) this year at Yowell. You can contact Deputy Brandon Mack with any concerns you have with school safety or anything that would be related to criminal activity.
