Early Dismissals Policy - Please Read
To minimize classroom disruptions, we will no longer be honoring walk-in early dismissals during the lat 15 minutes of the school day, 3:15-3:30 MTWF and 2:00-2:15 on Thursdays.
If you know ahead of time that you must to pick up your student during the final 15 minutes of instruction (because you have an inflexible appointment), you may call in advance so that we will have the student ready and waiting in the front office when you arrive.
Thank you for your cooperation with this adjustment. It will help ensure a smooth end of day for all of our students and staff.
Morning drop off reminder
- Please follow the sidewalks and official crosswalks to ensure safety and traffic flow, entering Grand Oaks through our main gate by the office only.

Congratulations Mikalai!
THE San Juan Unified Classified Employee of the Year is our own Mikalai! Mikalai and our custodial team, Jeff and Vasily, make our school shine, every day. They make a difference in our students' positive self-esteem by ensuring that our environment is very clean and always in good repair. They respond quickly and go above and beyond. They have demonstrated such a high level of excellence that Mikalai is being honored as our San Juan Unified Classified Employee of the Year at our upcoming school board meeting on March 10th.
Read Across America at Grand Oaks March 23-27
National Read Across America Week is this week, March 2–6. Since we are busy finishing assessments and preparing for parent–teacher conferences at Grand Oaks, we will celebrate during the week of March 23rd. This year’s theme is “Champion Kindness: Foster a culture of care and connection where kindness, empathy, and collaboration help everyone feel seen, valued, and included.” We will have fun literacy activities all week, including spirit week and Community Readers Day, among other events.
