January 2026
Superintendent's Nest
Happy New Year! Welcome to 2026! I hope this year is off to a great start for you and your family!
January is School Board Appreciation Month. Our school board members consist of Kevin Poolman, Amber Brush, Jake Clemons, Brad Wolfe, and Sarah Hogan. The board meets every second Monday of the month at 5:30 pm. The next meeting is Monday, January 12th. We do offer free childcare during the meetings. This is a great opportunity to meet the members and learn more about the operation of our school.
During the month of January we will hold a fundraiser for The American Heart Association called the Heart Challenge. For every dollar a student brings in they will receive a prize along with their name on a heart which will go up on the wall in the hallway. Students are encouraged to ask parents, family members, neighbors, friends, etc to donate towards this fundraiser to help students and families to learn more about heart health and CPR. Students can turn in their money at the beginning of each school day. The student who gathers the most donations at the end of the month will receive a special prize! Our goal for the school is to raise $350 for The American Heart Association this month.
Stay healthy! Get outside and enjoy nature and our beautiful surroundings! I look forward to seeing your child/children everyday!
Sincerely,
Ms. Walle
Superintendent/Principal

Attendance Matters
โจ Attendance Matters โ And So Do You! โจ
Every day in school makes a difference. Did you know?
๐ A student is considered chronically absent if they miss 10% or more of the school year โ thatโs just 2 days a month. Even excused absences add up and can impact learning.
๐ January is the perfect time for a fresh start! Letโs make this month our strongest one yet for attendance. Building good habits now helps students finish the semester strong.
๐ก What families can do:
โ๏ธ Make school attendance a priority
โ๏ธ Send a written parent/guardian note whenever your child is absent so we can keep records accurate and provide support.
โ๏ธ Reach out if challenges come up โ we are here to help.
When your student is here, they are learning, growing, and building their future. Letโs work together, because Every Day Counts! ๐
