9th Grade Pre-IB Commitment Ceremony
Let's Celebrate!
Please complete the RSVP for the Pre-IB Commitment Ceremony for 9th Grade.
Join us as we celebrate our 9th Grade Pre-IB students and their successful start to high school. Students will recite the IB Commitment Statement, be recognized for their academic achievements, and learn more about the IB journey from grades 9-12, including the pathway to earning the prestigious IB Diploma. This special event honors student success while looking ahead to the opportunities and challenges of the IB Programme.
Academic Honesty Policy
Attention Families...
Please take time to have a conversation with your student about the importance of Academic Honesty throughout the IB Programme. The demands of the IB Programme can create significant academic pressure and stress. At times, these challenges may lead students to feel tempted to take shortcuts or engage in academic dishonesty. It is important that students understand that submitting work that reflects their own knowledge, thinking, and abilities is essential to their growth and success.
Violations of these expectations may lead to a referral, a zero on the assignment or assessment, a mandatory parent conference, and possible dismissal from the IB Programme if violations continue. A copy of the Academic Honesty Policy and all other programme policies can be found on our IB website.
Senior Prediction Meetings
One on One Planning Time
As part of our ongoing commitment to student success, Mrs. Leary has begun meeting individually with seniors, with all meetings scheduled to be completed by November 5 during Theory of Knowledge (TOK). During these meetings, students are reviewing and verifying that their Extended Essay topics are correctly registered with the IB and that all required May examinations are properly registered to ensure they are on track to earn their IB Diploma.
Additionally, students are predicting diploma outcomes and developing personalized plans for success. By calculating potential diploma point totals, students can identify areas of strength, recognize opportunities for growth, and establish actionable steps to strengthen their individual pathways toward earning the IB Diploma.
Our goal is to ensure every senior has a clear understanding of their progress, feels confident in their next steps, and is equipped with a purposeful plan to cross the finish line as an IB Diploma recipient!
AP and IB Exam Conflicts in May
What do I do if I have an AP exam that conflicts with an IB exam?
Only AP exams can be offered during late testing. If you have an AP exam that conflicts with an IB exam, or an AP exam that conflicts with an AP exam, please complete this form to communicate your need to schedule late testing. Your attention to this will help us ensure that we create a plan for success in May! (Mrs. Leary has been working on identifying conflicts and needs your help to ensure 100% accuracy)
Seeking Business Partners and Donations
Building Community and Lifelong Friendships
We would like to provide opportunities throughout the school year for IB students to connect with friends, build community, and take a moment to unwind from the rigor of their academic day. Events such as IB Cafe, Donut Day, or Cookies and Conversation give students a chance to enjoy lunch outdoors, have a treat, spend time with their peers, and strengthen the relationships that make our IB Programme so special. These are just a few examples we have brainstormed.
To make these experiences possible, we are seeking support from families and local business partners. Donations help cover the small but meaningful extras, such as food, drinks, and event supplies, that make these gatherings memorable for students.
If you or your business would be interested in supporting our students through a donation, please contact Mrs. Leary. Your generosity helps create positive experiences that enrich our students' high school and IB journey.
