The December 12 holiday edition of the HSD News Round-Up highlights seasonal news and upcoming events from across the district, including HHS's production of Elf the Musical Jr., PWT's annual Donuts with Santa celebration, holiday concerts, and more!

You are invited to support our talented thespians and enjoy a holiday favorite - Elf the Musical Jr. This 60-minute one-act musical is perfect for all ages. If you missed last night’s opening performance, you still have time to catch the show this weekend!

Hockinson (PWT) invites families to its annual Donuts with Santa celebration on Friday, December 13, from 9:00–11:00 a.m. in the HMS Gym. This festive community event brings together holiday treats, student performances, and fun activities for children of all ages...and, of course, Santa! Families are encouraged to secure tickets ahead of time here.

Hockinson students kicked off the holiday season in style at the annual Hockinson Tree Lighting on Friday, December 5. The HMS Band, under the direction of Jennifer Ritenburgh, filled the night with lively holiday music while families gathered, laughed, and sang along. It was a fun, festive evening that brought our community together and shined a spotlight on our talented student musicians.

Hockinson schools will soon be filled with music of this season. Come enjoy festive music, support our student musicians, and celebrate the season together. HHES students kicked things off with their 5th Grade Concert earlier this week, and there are still more chances to enjoy live performances:

It's beginning to look a lot like...a little bit of everything in the HSD. Everything holiday, that is. Here is a one-stop preview of the next week's dress up days for our elementary, middle, and high school students:

HHS: Mon - Holiday Pajamas, Tues - Holiday Hats, Wed - Hit the Slopes, Thu - Grinch v. Santa, Fri - Candy Cane Wars (Sophomores & Seniors: Red v. Freshmen & Juniors: White)

HHS senior and ASB student Lily Roscoe is leading a Christmas Toy Drive through December 19. Students and staff are invited to drop new, unopened toys in the designated box in the HHS Commons. The drive is accepting board games, dolls and action figures, building blocks, art supplies, and sports equipment. Please avoid used items, homemade crafts, toys with realistic weapons, chemicals, or latex balloons.

All donations will be delivered to Doernbecher and Randall Hospitals to brighten the holidays for patients and their families. Thank you for your support!
