Virtue of the Month: Perseverance
This month, we are celebrating perseverance—the ability to keep going, even when things are difficult. Many of our virtues are explored when reading literature. Momotaro, a Japanese folk hero, embarks on a journey to defeat ogres. With courage and perseverance, he overcomes challenges, teaching our fourth graders that determination and teamwork can conquer adversity.

Classical Character Parade
Our Classical Character Parade will take place once again this year. Scholars can come to school in their costume and wear it all day. The Hillsdale Curriculum Guide link below lists the many classical works that we read. Please feel free to use it as inspiration.
Your scholar may select a classical character from any classical book that's read in any grade. You're not restricted to the books read in your scholar's grade level.
A few additional rules to remember:
Leggings are not acceptable. Students who arrive wearing them will need to call home or change into a uniform skirt.
Skirts must be fingertip length or longer. The same rule applies as above.
No masks or face coverings.
