Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year!

We are thrilled to welcome our returning families back and greet those who are joining our community for the first time. It is going to be an incredible year of growth, learning, and connection.

Here are a few quick updates and key events to kick off the year:

  • Open House (Tomorrow): Please ensure you are signed up for a dedicated appointment with your teacher between 1:00 PM and 6:00 PM. If those times don't fit your schedule, feel free to drop by for our traditional open house format from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM.

  • School Pictures: Student photos will be taken in the gym during Open House tomorrow. If you miss it, our retake/makeup picture day is scheduled for October 1st.

  • Welcome Back Night (Thursday, Sept. 17 | 5:00–7:00 PM): Join us for free dinner, a DJ, family resources, and a chance to mingle with the community. We would love to see you there!

Our Theme: Belief and Joy: This year, our guiding focus is Belief and Joy. We know students thrive when they feel supported and believed in, and we are committed to making our classrooms vibrant, welcoming spaces. To share that joy with you, we are launching a brand-new monthly newsletter—think of it as a highlight reel of posts celebrating our amazing students and staff.

We are so proud to partner with you in your child’s education. Please never hesitate to reach out to our main office if there is anything we can do to support your family. Welcome back, families, to the 2026-2027 school year!

Nicki Magaard, Principal

There are no cellphones or smart watches allowed at Wilson during the school day (9:10-4:00).

We understand that some families may want their student to have a cellphone or smart watch for before or after school. These devices are a distraction to student learning. If a student has a cellphone or smart watch, they will be required to turn it in to the main office for safekeeping during the school day. They will be able to pick it up at the end of the day.

Ready for some fun? We're excited to start our after-school Community Ed classes at Wilson, and we can't wait to see your student there!

A few things to know about our classes:

  • If you sign your child up for an after school class (4:05 pm start time), please let their teacher know they'll be staying after school for Community Ed. We'll also send a reminder email to teachers on the day of the class.

  • Students should head straight to the gym after dismissal to check in.

  • You're welcome to send a snack for your child to eat before class. We also recommend a water bottle for any sport or active classes.

  • Parent pickup is at Door 2. Just pull up to the curb, and your student will come out to you. Students in the Adventures Plus (A+) program will be returned to A+.
