EMS Counseling Department Team

Hello EMS Students and Families! The EMS Counseling Department wants to welcome you to another school year! We are so excited to serve you and connect with you this year.

You can expect a Counseling Department Newsletter at the start of every month with updates about programs and services within the counseling department, as well as information about resources that are available for students and families. You can expect our first official newsletter at the start of September. In this August newsletter, meet the members of the EMS Counseling Team!

Mrs. Gundlach is so excited to begin her 4th year as the EMS school counselor! As the school counselor, Mrs. Gundlach works with all grade levels and students. She provides counseling services to students individually, in group settings, and in the classroom to support the social-emotional, academic, and career readiness development for all students. Mrs. Gundlach is the EMS 504 plan case manager, coordinates the career development curriculum used at EMS - Oregon CIS Jr., and collaborates with staff and administration to develop student schedules.

This will be Mrs. Ermini's 2nd year as the secondary-level Student Engagement Liaison! As an Engagement Liaison, Mrs. Ermini works in a similar role as a social worker. Her office is at EMS and she works very closely with EMS staff and students, but also works with EHS staff and students. Mrs. Ermini meets with families regularly and supports students with their attendance. She is very knowledgeable about resources and services within Estacada, as well as the greater Clackamas County area. Mrs. Ermini oversees the Clothing Closest at EMS and is also part of the team that coordinates the Food Pantry at CRE.

This will be Mrs. Jarvis's 2nd year at EMS as the Todos Juntos Estacada Middle School Site Coordinator. As the EMS Site Coordinator, Mrs. Jarvis works closely with all staff and administration to provide student's, families and the Estacada community with extra curricular activities, programs, clubs, summer camps and multiple resources pertaining to individual needs. She also engages students with a wrap around service of one on one advisement for academic and personal concerns, hosting girls circle and organizing boys council, and providing after school homework support throughout the school year.

Thursday, August 18th and Friday August 19th, 4pm to 8pm

Come to Summer "Open House" to pick up your schedule, tour the building, and open your locker. The school will be open with administration present and some staff available.

Student's can also make schedule change requests at the Open House and during the first two weeks of the school year (a request does not guarantee a schedule change is possible).
