Dear families,

It has been a wonderful start to the school year! Seeing all of our students back in the building with so much energy and enthusiasm has made these first few weeks fantastic. Thank you to all our families for helping make the transition back to school so smooth.

Please note that our main parking lot will be closed on September 7th and 8th for sealcoating and repainting. To ensure safety and allow the paint to dry completely, please ensure your children do not play or ride bikes in the parking lot during these dates. We appreciate your cooperation as we keep our campus safe and looking great!

Dear Ponderosa Families,

At Ponderosa Elementary School, global learning helps our students understand the world and their place in it. Through every subject, we encourage our kids to be curious, compassionate problem-solvers who examine real-world issues, recognize perspectives, communicate their ideas appropriately, and take meaningful action in our community and beyond.

We would love your involvement this year! We are looking for family volunteers to help the Global Committee with:

• Sharing Your Culture: Presenting traditions, stories, or experiences with students

• Event Support: Assisting with assemblies, Geography Stars Club, or our annual Global Showcase

• Take Action Projects: Lending assistance to schoolwide "Take Action" initiatives

• Behind the Scenes: Setting up or taking down bulletin boards

• Global Ideas: Sharing your thoughts on how we can enhance global learning at PES

2026/2027 School year fees are now posted in infinite campus. They can be paid by card in your parent portal account or by check to the front office.

**Free and reduced lunch applications are now open for the 2026/2027 school year. Although breakfast and lunch are free for all students. We highly encourage all qualifying families to still fill out an application.**
