Welcome, Global Educators!

We are excited to begin this new year by re-introducing CGEP to California educators through this monthly e-newsletter. In response to the many changes in our world of education and professional learning, CGEP begins this academic year by introducing Host Sites (replacing regional sites) at the Humboldt County Office of Education, Glenn County Office of Education, Columbia School District, ORIAS at UC Berkeley, Orange County Office of Education, and San Diego County Office of Education. With our CGEP Statewide Office at the University of San Diego, our directors, specialists, and teacher leaders will work with-and-beyond these Host Sites to provide high quality professional learning programs in global education for PK-12 teachers. In addition, we will offer statewide programs to continue our Global Teacher Fellowship and California Global Education Forum while introducing quarterly Global Education Communities of Practice, Coaching for Globally Competent Teachers, and Global Book Discussions. We look forward to working with you and your colleagues this year. Please share this newsletter and encourage those interested in global education to sign up as a CGEP member below or on our website. Members will receive information about programs, projects, and resources while staying connected to like-minded globally competent educators.
