Pirate Post 3/1/2026

Can I start by pointing out that there are only 12 school days until spring break?

Some administrators tell me that I shouldn’t highlight that — that it can make it feel like we’re counting down in survival mode. I don’t see it that way. Yes, there are tough days and busy weeks in education. But that’s not the culture of East Minico. You don’t show up just trying to survive — you show up with purpose. I see it in our students, staff and community. I see it in the way students greet us every morning when they arrive to school. I see it when students leave for the day, excited to come back for the following day!

And still… it’s okay to look forward to a break. You’ve earned it. If I could move spring break a little closer, I would — because you deserve the rest.

Thank you for always being so positive and caring! Thanks for always supporting myself and my assistant principal! Thanks for supporting our staff! Thanks for being there day in and day out and being willing to help wherever a need exists!

Thanks for being amazing, Pirates! Let’s finish this stretch strong. 🏴‍☠️
