Office Reminders

In the event that you need to contact the school office for any reason, especially with a change in dismissal plans, you will want to send an email to both of the administrative assistants in the Front Office. Those emails should be sent to: Katherine West, who replaced Mrs. Harwood last school year, and also, Dani Kusmerz, who took the place of Ms. Rand. Their email addresses are:

kwest@barrington220.org, and dkusmerz@barrington220.org. You are also welcome to call the main office at 847-381-4148.

NWEA Measure of Academic Progress (MAP)

It is time for the NWEA Measure of Academic Progress (MAP) to be administered. All students in Barrington in second through eighth grade will be assessed in the next few weeks.

MAP tests are state-aligned computerized adaptive assessments that provide useful data and information about student achievement and growth. These untimed assessments are unique in that they adapt to each student’s ability, more accurately measuring what a child knows and needs to learn. In addition, MAP tests measure academic growth over time, independent of grade level or age. MAP test results provide educators with timely information that guides instructional planning and school improvement.

Region Restaurant Parent Fundraiser, September 6th

Fundraising never tasted this good! All Roslyn parents and caregivers are invited to join us as Roslyn families get exclusive access to Region for an afternoon of mingling, gourmet appetizers, activities and drinks. Help us raise funds for our 5th graders as they enjoy their last year at Roslyn. Money raised will go towards 5th grade shirts ($1200) and 5th grade memory books ($2000). Then once those costs are covered, our kiddos- and consequently all of us 5th grade parents- will continue to fundraise to pay for their 5th grade end of year celebration, class legacy gift to the school! Let's join together to make this event a success and lessen our fundraising burden all year!

Purchase tickets for the event here: https://barrington220.revtrak.net/b220-elementary-schools-menu/rr/pto-rr/rr-pto-fundraisers/#/v/rr-pto-region-fundraiser

We Appreciate Your Patience With Bus Delays

Families, as the significant road work on Route 14 continues, our transportation company is reminding everyone that pick up and drop off delays are to be expected, and may change from week to week. Make sure to download the My Ride K-12 app, which follows the bus in real time and can help prepare you for schedule adjustments on a given day.
