A Message From Mrs. Carmody A Message From Mrs. Carmody

Dear Fremont Families,

Thank you to the families who attended our recent Veterans Day assembly with their honored guests. Your presence helped us show respect for the veterans in our community. We can all be very proud of our students.

I want to quickly remind everyone about the importance of our upcoming parent-teacher conferences. These meetings are a vital opportunity to discuss your child's progress, celebrate their strengths, and collaborate on strategies for continued success. Your insight is invaluable to us, and we look forward to meeting with every family.

Please use the links further down in this newsletter, to sign up for a conference slot that is most convenient for you. If you have any questions or require assistance with the sign-up process, please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the school office.

I hope to see many of you at our PTO Reading Rally tonight!

Sincerely,

Beth Carmody

Principal

Veterans Day Assembly

This week, our school gathered for our special Veterans Day assemblies to honor the heroes who have served our country. We were lucky to have some veterans join us, and our students showed their appreciation with applause, singing, smiles, and thank-you cards. It was a wonderful way for our students to learn about service, gratitude, and respect.

Healthy and Safety Update Healthy and Safety Update

We are committed to maintaining a healthy environment for our entire K-8 community. As a proactive measure to significantly reduce the potential spread of seasonal illness (such as flu and colds), our facilities team is initiating a rigorous, focused regimen of sanitizing and disinfecting. This process will specifically cover all frequent-contact areas, including door hardware, stair railings, and water fountain buttons. Our goal is to maintain the highest standards of hygiene to support the continued health of our students and personnel during the winter months.

Extra Clothes Extra Clothes

We kindly ask all parents to send an extra, labeled set of seasonally appropriate clothing (including shirt, pants, underwear, and socks) to be kept at school, regardless of your student's grade level. Accidents, spills, or unexpected muddy activities can happen to students of any age, and having a spare set on hand allows us to quickly and comfortably resolve the situation without having to call home and disrupt your day. If the spare set is used, please remember to send in a replacement set the next day. Thank you for your cooperation!

Every Day Matters Every Day Matters

As the days get shorter and the holidays approach, remember that every day in school matters. Each day is a chance to grow, connect, and learn. If you’re planning family travel, please schedule around school days whenever possible. And as always, if your child has a fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, keep them home until they’ve recovered for 24 hours without medication.

Parent Teacher Conference Fall 2025 Elementary Information

Ode to Fremont ES Lost and Found Ode to Fremont ES Lost and Found

Down the hall beneath the lunchroom, a corner softly hums—

A heap of coats and sweatshirts waits for someone who never comes.

Brand-new jackets with no names, sneakers split in two,

Lunchboxes and water bottles dream of kids they knew.

Each week brings the teacher’s call: “Come look before you go!”

But the pile keeps on growing still, a gentle, rumpled show.

Please ask your students to visit the lost and found to look for any lost items. These items are on display in front of the lunchroom. Please also stop by during conferences. We ask that you also write your child's name on anything they might remove during the school day. Anything left in lost and found will be donated during Winter Break.

Free Books for Families! Free Books for Families!

On November 24th during student conferences, families are invited to stop by our book table in the front entrance hallway to pick out some free books to enjoy at home! If you’re interested, please bring a small bag to carry your selections. We can’t wait to help you find some great new reads!
