BOA Prosper Volunteer Opportunity
As you may know, on Saturday 10/11 Prosper ISD Bands are hosting the Bands of America North Texas Regional for the 4th year! It takes the entire PISD band community to make this happen! For your reference, our band will be performing in prelims at 10:30am. We will not know our Finals performance time until much later in the day.
This is a great opportunity to get connected with other band families in the community, as well as get a behind the scenes look into how a marching contest works!
Competition Meal Help Needed!
A message from Lauren Mitchell our Competition Meal Coordinator:
Hey band family!
This will be my 5th and final year as the competition day meals coordinator for our wonderful Mighty Eagle Band. I am looking for 1-2 people to join me in planning this year’s competition meals and learning all of the ins and outs. These people would ideally be stepping into my role next year but I am happy to still help along the way next year. If you are good at planning, problem solving, quick on your feet thinking, and love taking care of precious kiddos then this is the role for you! Senior Scholarships
Attention Seniors!
PBBC is happy to announce that there will be scholarship opportunities again this year for band and color guard members. The scholarship application will open Friday, December 19th and is due by midnight March 23rd. All applicants must be in good financial standing, have been apart of their respective program for two years and are headed to an accredited institution after high school. The application process requires a staff letter of recommendation and completion of a google form within the application window. Recipients of the scholarship will be announced at the Band Banquet. Concession Sign Ups are here!!!
Parents and Band Families,
Please use the link below to sign up for your shift in the Concessions stands at Children's Health Stadium! It is the expectation that every family picks a time to work in the Concessions stands.
Sign-ups are by section, but don't worry if you can't make your marcher's section night work. Please sign up for any date and time that works for you. If you don't see your section scroll to the next page!
Little Sisters, Brothers, Cousins, Nieces/Nephews, your next door neighbor are ALL welcome to help run food, make drinks, popcorn, pretzels, nachos, etc. We just ask that they are at least middle school aged. We will sign off on Volunteer forms so they can receive credit for their association/honor society. Volunteers MUST BE 18 to run the cash register. This is an Aramark Rule.
All home games are at Children's Health Stadium in Prosper. Volunteers do not need to buy a ticket to enter the stadium.
BAND FEES
Please contact Lauren Mitchell (lauren.mitchell@prosperband.com) to take care of unpaid fees. While our fundraising has been stellar so far, we cannot replace the bills we owe with that money alone - it takes everyone's help to make it happen.
