The Wildcat Connection
October 19 , 2026
TOGETHER FOR WILDCAT SUCCESS
Dear Wunderlich Families,
Our campus attendance dropped from 95.19% to 94.55%, falling below our goal of 95% or higher. We need your partnership to help our Wildcats regain that momentum!
Every day at school gives students opportunities to learn, ask questions, and grow. Please help your student attend regularly, arrive on time, and come prepared to learn. If your family is facing attendance challenges, reach out so we can work together to provide support.
Academics remain our focus at Wunderlich. Please check Skyward regularly, discuss grades and missing assignments with your student, and encourage tutorials when extra help is needed. Staying connected with teachers helps us address concerns early and celebrate progress together.
Every Wildcat belongs here, and every day of learning matters. Thank you for partnering with us!
We Are Wunderlich. We Win Together!
Mr. Eric Lathan
Principal

The sign-up deadline has been extended to Thursday, October 29. This is the final day to register! Families, please check with your student to make sure they have selected an activity that interests them through this dashboard link. Students who do not select an activity will be assigned one by campus administration.
Need help signing up? If your student has trouble accessing or completing the sign-up, please contact Mrs. Essadiki at hessadiki@kleinisd.net. Include your student’s first and last name and grade level in the email so we can better assist you.
Once sign-ups close, teachers will receive updated rosters for their enrichment activities.

🌟STUDENTS OF THE MONTH !
CONGRATULATIONS!

We are proud to recognize their accomplishments and celebrate the positive impact they make on our Wunderlich community!
🍎 TEACHER OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to our October Teacher of the Month, Ms. Katelyn Dover! Our 7th-grade math teacher inspires students to grow, build confidence, and embrace learning. Her dedication leaves a lasting impact—former students continue to seek her support long after leaving her classroom. Thank you, Ms. Dover, for Operating in Excellence!

CELEBRATING VETERANS' DAY
Klein ISD invites our community to the 26th Annual Veterans Day Breakfast & Program on Wednesday, November 11, at 8:00 a.m. at the Klein ISD Multipurpose Center, 7500 FM 2920. Join us as we honor our veterans and thank them for their service and sacrifice. Admission is free; RSVP is requested.

⏰ ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Every day matters. Every minute counts.
Attendance is vital to student success. When students are not at school, they miss important instruction and learning opportunities.
Car riders should arrive before 8:45 a.m. so students have enough time to enter the building and be seated when class begins at 8:50 a.m.
📚 PARTNERING FOR SUCCESS
Families, please check Skyward regularly and talk with your student about their grades, missing assignments, and progress.
Encourage your student to attend tutorials when they need support, and contact their teachers with questions. Q1 Grade Repair runs November 4–19; please reach out to your student’s teacher for information about participation.
Together, we can help our Wildcats build confidence and stay on track!
🍎 MEAL APPLICATION REMINDER
Please complete the Socioeconomic Information Form or Free and Reduced-Price Meal Application by September 24, 2026. Only one application is needed per household. Completing the form helps determine meal eligibility and provides important funding for student services and campus programs.
The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program, which previously allowed all students at Wunderlich Intermediate to receive free meals, has ended for the 2026–2027 school year. Families who wish to continue receiving free or reduced-price meals must complete a Meal Benefits Application.
For more information about the CEP update, please visit: www.kisd.us/cep
Families can apply for meal benefits online at:
www.kisd.us/schoolcafe or through the SchoolCafe App.
Thank you for your attention to this important information.
🚗 FAMILY AND VISITOR PARKING
To help keep our campus parking organized and ensure staff have access to their assigned spaces, we kindly ask all families and visitors to park only in spaces marked “VISITORS.”
Parking spaces with numbers are assigned to teachers and staff and should remain available for them throughout the school day.
Thank you for helping us keep arrival, dismissal, meetings, and campus visits running smoothly. We appreciate your cooperation and support!
📸 PICTURE MAKE - UP DAY ON NOVEMBER 2
📸 Students will take their school pictures on November 2nd.

📵 PHONES DOWN. MINDS ON.
We want our Wildcats present, connected, and focused on learning.
Students are not permitted to use:
📱 Cell phones
⌚ Smartwatches
🎧 Earbuds, AirPods, or headphones
📲 Other connected electronic devices
This expectation applies throughout the school day, including classrooms, hallways, restrooms, and the cafeteria.
All devices must be powered off and kept out of sight at all times.
❤️💙 Families, thank you for partnering with us to help students stay engaged in their learning and connected to the people around them.
👕 LOOK GOOD. FEEL GOOD. DO GREAT. DRESS FOR EXCELLENCE
At Wunderlich, we want our students to come to school feeling confident and ready to learn.
Students and staff are expected to dress in a way that reflects the high level of excellence we strive for as a learning community.
If a student arrives in clothing that does not meet dress code expectations, a parent/guardian may be contacted and asked to bring appropriate clothing for the student to change into.
Our goal is to prevent students from losing valuable instructional time.
⭐ WHEN IN DOUBT, DON'T WEAR IT!
We want every Wildcat to look good, feel good, and be ready to accomplish great things.
