PTA Weekly Update
September 16, 2024

February 2, 2026
Good morning Husky families!
Whether or not Punxsutawney Phil (or any other groundhog) saw his shadow, today we sure hope to get a break from this cold winter weather soon! Luckily, there's plenty going on INSIDE where it's warm. Take a look:
- We're taking it back to the 90s! Purchase your tickets to the Adult Social and get together with other Spring Brook parents the evening of February 21 for live music, an exciting silent auction, a wine pull, and more. Be sure to come dressed to the 9(0s)! Tickets are discounted through 2/13.
- The countdown is on! Just 14 days left until the Kids Heart Challenge on February 13. Have you signed your child(ren) up yet? So far we've achieved the following at Spring Brook:
- To date, 206 students are registered for the KHC. Mrs. Evan's 4th grade class is in the lead with the most students registered.
- We're also 88% of the way to reaching our $26,000 fundraising goal! Mrs. Buresh's 4th grade class has raised the most funds so far.
- 49 students have completed Finn's Mission and 67 families learned hands-only CPR.
- Classes earn incentives based on participation, so become a heart hero today!
In addition to the newsletter, check our website for information on these programs and more.
Have a good week!
Register Today for the Kids Heart Challenge
Spring Brook Elementary has joined the KHC Lifesavers League! Each year, we participate in the American Heart Association's Kids Heart Challenge. Through this program, our students learn how to keep their hearts, bodies and brains healthy while helping kids with special hearts live longer, healthier lives.

Classrooms and students can also earn different incentives based on participation - from fundraising to completing Finn's Mission, to learning hands-only CPR.
