Hillside Happenings
April 17, 2026
Dear Hillside Families,
Happy Friday! It has been a wonderful week at school, and we want to extend a sincere thank you to all of our families for your continued partnership and support. It was a joy to see our students arrive this week looking so polished and professional for spring picture day; those bright smiles and sharp outfits certainly added an extra layer of cheer to our hallways!
Our students have been busy exploring the world around them thanks to the dedication of our staff. We want to share a huge thank you to our 5th grade, 2nd grade, and Young 5’s team for coordinating such engaging and educational field trips this week. These hands-on experiences are so impactful for our learners. The adventures continue next week as our Kindergarten students prepare for their exciting trip to the farm!
Looking Ahead
Husky Huddle: We are eagerly anticipating next week's huddle. It is always a highlight to see our "student genius" on full display as our young leaders share their talents and growth with the school community.
Science Fair: Next Saturday, several of our talented Hillside students will be participating in the Science Fair at Farmington High School. We are so proud of their hard work and can’t wait to see their projects in action!
Wishing you all a restful and happy weekend!
With Gratitude,
Mrs. Maas & Mrs. Amos

With the arrival of warmer weather, students are enjoying more time outdoors. As we increase our outdoor activities, we want to remind families about the importance of tick prevention. Michigan is home to the American dog tick and the blacklegged (deer) tick, which can transmit illnesses. Please click here for more information.
