A Message from Principal Ballard

Growing, Learning, and SOARing Together!

At Winchester Avenue, we are committed to helping every student grow and succeed! Families, your support makes a difference. Reading together, practicing math facts, reviewing sight words (super/heart words), and talking about what your child learned at school are simple ways to support learning at home.

Encourage your child to keep trying, ask questions, and celebrate their progress. Every small step forward matters! Together, we can build strong learners, kind hearts, and confident students who are ready to SOAR to new heights!

Thank you for partnering with us in your child's learning journey. We are proud to learn and grow with our Winchester Ave Owls! 💛❤️

Principal, Winchester Avenue Elementary

What is Red Ribbon Week? What is Red Ribbon Week?

Red Ribbon Week is a special time when schools and communities teach children about making healthy, safe, and drug-free choices. Even at an early age, students can begin learning the importance of taking care of their bodies, making positive decisions, and choosing healthy habits.

At Winchester Avenue, we will celebrate Red Ribbon Week with fun activities and themed dress-up days to help students understand that their choices matter. Families can help by talking with children about staying safe, making good decisions, and building healthy habits.

Together, we can encourage our students to make positive choices and continue to grow into healthy, happy, and successful individuals!

Make a Difference. Be a hero, Stay drug free.
