My Texas Future: Direct Admissions
1.) HOW IT WORKS:
As part of the new My Texas Future platform, students are able to see where they will be accepted before they apply.
My Texas Future matches your self-reported academic information with the admissions requirements of Texas colleges to show you which schools will accept you.
Opt-in to direct admissions: Agree to share your profile with participating colleges.
Share your information: Add your academic information like your GPA, SAT and/or ACT scores and class rank.
View your acceptances: See where you are accepted and take the next step to apply
Important disclaimers:
The direct admissions process is not an admissions application. Students will still need to apply and submit required documents to gain admission into the university.
The direct admission list shows guaranteed acceptance into the university. This does not guarantee admission into the student's selected major. Students should review the specific requirements for their intended major on the college/university's admission website.
2.) PARTICIPATING UNIVERSITIES
Currently there are 30+ universities that participate in direct admissions. My Texas Future partners with colleges and universities across Texas. These colleges share their acceptance criteria, which are then matched with your academic information.
3.) DIRECT ADMISSION DATA
Different schools have different acceptance requirements. The more information you provide, the more options you may have. Don't worry-if you don't have all the data listed below, just enter what you have. If your GPA, class rank, or other information changes, make sure to update your profile to get the best options.
