The bus pass issued to your student at the beginning of the school year is, well, just that - their pass that gets them on the bus.

Bus passes are mandatory for all riders.

These passes get students on the bus and ready to head out quickly and efficiently, saving time and frustration for bus drivers, riders and drivers stopped for buses. With the ZPass+ app, parents have the additional peace of mind with the ability to track and receive notifications when their student gets on and off the bus.

Checkup on Student Health: Head Lice Checkup on Student Health: Head Lice

Head lice is nothing to be embarrassed about: It's extremely common, and anyone can get head lice, no matter how clean they or their environment are.

How do people get head lice?

Lice are primarily spread through prolonged head-to-head contact. Lice do not jump or fly.

Can I prevent head lice?

Head lice don't carry disease, and they aren't dangerous, but you should take steps to treat an infestation right away.

Check children's hair regularly to catch lice before they have a chance to multiply. Part the hair and check for lice and nits a section at a time.

If your child has head lice:

  • Check with your doctor or school nurse about the appropriate treatment. Non-prescription and prescription medications are available.
  • There's no evidence that home remedies like kerosene, mayonnaise, olive oil or petroleum jelly are effective. Talk to your healthcare provider about proven treatment options.
  • Wash clothes, towels, hats and bed linens in hot water and dry on high heat.
  • Don't spray pesticides or fogs in the home. They are ineffective and could be harmful if inhaled or get on skin.
  • Check all of the members of your household for head lice.
