BWMS Family Update
12/12/25
Last Week of 2025
BWMS Families,
Can you believe that we are just a few school days from wrapping up 2025?
With just five days left before break as well as the end of the 2nd quarter, I would encourage all parents to check PowerSchool one more time and have a conversation with your student about their current marks. We are proud of the work our staff and students have compiled in 2025 and look for great things in the upcoming new year.
Also, be sure to note the events from our student council to include a Holiday Dance with DJ Matt Ryan this coming Thursday 12/18/25 right after school from 2:30PM-4:30PM.
Have a fantastic weekend,
Mr. Josh Frame

BWLS Book Drive
The Library Team is excited to share some book-tastic news… we’re hosting a Big Walnut Book Drive! From December 8th through January 31st, we’ll be collecting gently-used books to help grow reading opportunities for students across our district. If you have books looking for a new home, we’d love to give them one! You can drop off donations in any of the collection boxes located in our School Libraries. Just look for the Book Drive Signs/Red boxes—and the ever-growing stacks of stories waiting to be shared!
Thank you for helping us spread the joy of reading. Your generosity truly makes a difference, and we’re grateful for all the ways you support our readers.
Attention 8th Grade parents - BWMS Needs Your Help on Friday, Jan 23rd (corrected date)
On Friday January 23rd, 8th grade students will participate in a hands-on budget management and decision-making spending simulation in which we need your help. Real Money. Real World. (RMRW) is a financial literacy program for youth from Ohio State University Extension. This curriculum helps students connect college and career planning with budgeting principles within schools. Volunteers are needed to help run the following stations for students to see all of the factors that contribute to a healthy budget: Chance, Child Care, Clothing, Communications, Contributions, Credit and College Loan, Entertainment, Food, Housing, Insurance, Transportation, Utilities.

Eagle Profile Reports
BWMS emailed the Eagle Profile Reports this week. Specifically, our school continues to highlight the areas of the Eagle Profile listed below and strives to provide ongoing feedback to students about how to increase in these targeted areas with projects, activities and assessments. As we come to the end of the 1st semester, students and families will receive feedback (1-rarely, 2-sometimes, or 3-almost always) for each component in hopes that we can continue to help our students grow not just in academics, but these very important skills for life.
- Adaptable Learner: Responds productively to change and feedback.
- Collaborator: Works respectfully with diverse teams to accomplish commons goals.
- Communicator: Listens actively and articulates thoughts effectively to a variety of audiences.
- Problem Solver: Analyzes and develops solutions to complex issues.
- Responsible Citizen: Demonstrates integrity and empathy while making positive contributions to the community.
