Dear Explorer Families,
I hope this message finds you all happy, healthy, and enjoying the sunshine! As we head into the weekend, I wanted to encourage you all to take some time to unplug, unwind, and spend quality time with your Explorers. There's nothing quite like a beautiful weekend in the Pacific Northwest!
As we approach the final stretch of the academic year, I want to take a moment to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers and families. The upcoming month will be a critical time for our school as we focus on assessing our students progress and ensuring they are on track to meet their academic goals.
Throughout the month of May, our students will be taking various assessments to measure their knowledge and skills in key subject areas. As we prepare for these assessments, I want to encourage our students to stay focused and maintain a positive attitude. I also want to remind our families of the importance of supporting their children during this time.
Our ultimate goal is to ensure that every student has the tools and resources they need to succeed, not just on assessments but as future ready leaders. As we work together to navigate this final chapter of the school year, I am confident that we can achieve great things.
Best,
Bobbi Snider, principal
Character Trait of the Month - Creativity
Here is an activity you can do at home together.
Review Creativity as a family. Creativity is using your imagination to create something new or solve a problem. This challenge is about creating something new - together! Find a large cardboard box and unleash your Creativity as you work together to create something totally new. What can the box become? Perhaps it will be a spaceship, an ice cream shop, a fairy castle, or a race car. Use any craft supplies or scraps on hand and your imagination to turn an ordinary box into a new creation!

Please take a moment to read about what our very own the Bonney Lake Food Bank offers to families. Take note, your family does not need to be food scarce to be provided a power pack (weekend backpack) OR to access The Market to shop. Check it out!
Example
If you have a household of 4, and make less than $111,000 a year, you have every right to come and shop at The Market when you want, and however much you want as well as receive power packs for the weekend.
If you have a household of 2, and make less than $73,240 a year, you have every right to come and shop at The Market when you want, and however much you want as well as receive power packs for the weekend.
These numbers are a guideline and not required, to shop at The Market or receive Power Packs for the weekend. They do not ask for any identifying information (other than your name, which can also be a made up name!). This amazing team simply wants to help provide access to food for families who can use it.
