TURNING THE PAGE TO OCTOBER TURNING THE PAGE TO OCTOBER

It's hard to believe we have already made it to the end of September. We had a great time celebrating homecoming last week and are looking forward to moving into a new month with purpose. Please remind your student to wear an orange shirt to school tomorrow as we will be recognizing Orange Shirt Day as a district. Details on this important day are below.

Tuesday is the start of Oiler Hour, our after school opportunity for students in need of some extra academic support or work time. Teams have been working to identify students who may benefit from this and sending letters to parents and guardians. This opportunity is open to any student but does require signed permission to attend. More information is provided below but you can also reach out to any teacher with questions.

MPMS Accelerated Math Program and MPMS French Students Attendance on Days with an Irregular Schedule

For Elementary Students Attending MPMS

  • These students WILL NOT attend on most days that alter the daily schedule, including delay days, half days, and days where MPMS students start with first hour. One issue is that there may not be a bus available to transport them back to their elementary schools. Another issue on delay days is that they will be finished with their MPMS math class long before their elementary start time.

  • The only exception to this rule will be days where they will be taking their trimester exams. They will indeed attend on exam days, even with the change in schedule.

For MPMS Students Attending MPHS

  • These students WILL NOT attend on delay days, half days, and all other irregular days unless otherwise instructed by their MPHS Math/French teacher.
