Car Line Procedures
Core Creek Elementary Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Car Line Arrival Procedure:
· Car riders can enter the building from 8:50-9:10 am. If you arrive after 9:10, please park and walk your student to the office to sign them in.
· Car riders are dropped off in the front of the building using the lane against the sidewalk.
· Please pull up to the first staff member.
· Students will exit the vehicles. Family members should remain in the car. There will be staff members there to help students if needed.
· Cars should remain in the lane until the person in front of them has begun to exit. Please do not attempt to go around other cars.
Car Line Dismissal Procedure:
- Cars will form two rows in the car line in front of the building. Please do not arrive before 3:15 pm.
- Parents and guardians should remain in their vehicles at all times.
- All families will receive a name placard.
- A staff member will walk the car line to record the order of the cars and student names.
- Starting at 3:35 pm, students will be called to the main hallway for dismissal.
- Students will be dismissed in the order of their cars and will be escorted to their vehicles by staff members.
- Once all students in the first two rows are safely secured in their vehicles, dismissal will proceed as follows:
- The left row will exit first.
- The right row will exit second.
- The next two rows of cars will then move up, and the process will repeat.
- Each family will receive two copies of the placard to place on the dashboard.
- These placards allow staff to quickly identify students and call them safely to cars.
- If someone else is picking up your child, they may write your child’s name clearly on their own piece of paper and display it on the dashboard.
- If you are using the Car Line on the first day of school, please write your child's name on a piece of paper.
Please inform the office of this change in dismissal prior to 3:35 pm. The main office number is 215-809-6390.
Technology Reminders
Students are not permitted to use their cellphones and smartwatches to communicate with families during the day. If a parent or guardian needs to communicate a message to their child, please email the teacher or call the main office at 215-809-6390.
Please see the information below from our District Student Handbook regarding cellphones and smartwatches.
We permit students to have cell phones in school. However, there are specific guidelines your student must follow:
- Students must turn off their cell phones and smartwatches when they arrive to school.
- Phones and smartwatches are not to be visible during normal school hours (backpack, etc.).
Students in violation of these guidelines may have their electronic devices including cell phones and smart watches confiscated and returned at the end of the day. A second offense may result in confiscation and a parent must pick up the electronic device. For the protection and avoidance of electronic devices being lost/stolen, we recommend that students do not bring any type of electronic device to school.

Cubs in Motion
Cubs in Motion is a wellness program at Core Creek Elementary that gives students an opportunity to stay active during recess. Students can complete laps around a designated outdoor loop while working toward individual mileage goals.
Each student has a lanyard with a personal QR code that is scanned after each completed lap. This allows us to safely and accurately track each student’s progress.
How Cubs in Motion Works:
- Students in grades K & 1 use one designated route, while students in grades 2–4 use a separate route.
- 10 laps for grades K & 1 = 1 mile
- 5 laps for grades 2, 3 & 4 = 1 mile
- Students scan their QR code after completing each full lap.
Celebrating Progress
Students are encouraged to participate at their own pace and work toward personal goals.
- For every 10 miles completed, students earn a special “foot” token.
- Student mileage is tracked throughout the program.
- The top 5 participants from each grade level will be recognized in the school newsletter.
Benefits of Cubs in Motion
The program encourages students to:
- Build healthy habits and improve physical fitness
- Practice goal setting and perseverance
- Make positive and active use of recess time
- Have fun and connect with peers

It's been a busy summer for our Core Creek families and staff.
It's not too late to send in your pictures. We're inviting our Core Creek families to participate in Where in the World is Core Creek? Whether you spent your summer at the beach, exploring a new city, camping, visiting family, enjoying a local park, or making memories right here in our community, we'd love to see where your adventures take you!
Simply email your photos to Dr. Doherty along with a brief description of your adventure. Tell us where you are, what you're doing, and any fun details you'd like to share. Throughout the next few newsletters, we'll feature photos from our Core Creek families and staff members sharing their summer adventures.

Note from the District's Business Administrator
Neshaminy School District has engaged Eagle Industrial Hygiene Assoc., Inc., to fulfill the requirements of the Asbestos Hazard Emergency Response Act (AHERA), 40 CFR Part 763, Subpart E. This law requires that each Local Education Authority (LEA) engage EPA accredited individuals to initially inspect and subsequently reinspect every three years all student and staff accessed areas for the presence of both friable and non-friable asbestos containing materials (ACM) and to develop an Asbestos Management Plan from the information developed from the building inspections. All areas of our facilities were inspected for asbestos-containing materials.
The Management Plan provides a description of the amount, type, location, and condition of all ACM found in these areas. The Plan also contains a detailed schedule of responses and activities for handling the ACM. The Management Plan is available for review by interested parents, faculty, and staff in all school offices during business hours.
Sincerely,
Deborah Klahold
Business Administrator
Student Accident Insurance
This is a reminder to parents with a child or children attending school in our School District that we do not carry medical insurance on students but do provide parents with the opportunity to select a primary excess group insurance plan for students. Student accident insurance can help you eliminate the possibility of out-of-pocket expenses, since many group insurance policies no longer pay full hospital and medical expenses and may require a deductible or co-insurance.
A PDF describing the plans is attached. Please note, there are no paper applications. All applications/enrollments must be done online at:
https://www.aliverisk.com/StudentAccidentEnrollment
Enrollment opens on August 1, 2026
This insurance can be purchased anytime during the 2026-2027 school year, prior to an accident. Parents enrolling with more than one child must fill out an application for each child. Your completed online order is your proof of payment.
The district DOES NOT carry medical/accident insurance on students.
Neshaminy Kids Club
Neshaminy Kids Club is an independent before & after-school program that works in partnership with the Neshaminy School District in our school buildings.
