Dear Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to share some exciting news that reflects the incredible progress our school community is making together. As part of our ongoing commitment to the BETTER theme—Building Excellence Through Teaching, Engagement, and Relationships—we are proud to announce that 87% of our Freshmen are currently on track for graduation!

This milestone is more than just a number. It represents the dedication of our students, the tireless efforts of our teachers and staff, and the unwavering support from families like yours. It shows that when we work together, we create an environment where students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The BETTER theme is not just a slogan—it’s a mindset. It reminds us that:

To continue supporting our students on their path to success, we’re excited to announce several new academic support initiatives:

📨 Grades were emailed last Wednesday Please check your inbox for your student’s most recent progress report. If you did not receive it, contact the main office for assistance.

📬 Letters for students who have failed classes will be mailed home this week These letters will include information about next steps, including Credit Recovery options and support services to help students get back on track.

📘 Credit Recovery begins Monday Students who need to make up missed credits will have the opportunity to do so through our Credit Recovery program starting this Monday. This is a vital step in helping students stay on track for graduation, and families of eligible students will receive more details soon.

🧠 Academic Support Center (ASC) opens Monday We’re launching our new ASC—a dedicated space where students can receive direct assistance from teachers. Whether it’s homework help, test prep, or skill-building, the ASC is designed to provide personalized academic support in a welcoming environment.

📚 Tutoring available next week from 3:30–4:30 PM Beginning next week, after-school tutoring will be available Monday through Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. This is a great opportunity for students to get extra help in any subject and reinforce their learning outside of class hours.

Together, we will continue to move forward—toward a BETTER tomorrow.

📘 Recuperación de Créditos comienza este lunes. Los estudiantes que necesiten recuperar créditos tendrán la oportunidad de hacerlo a partir de este lunes. Las familias de los estudiantes elegibles recibirán más detalles próximamente.

🏫 Centro de Apoyo Académico (ASC) abre este lunes. Nuestro nuevo ASC ofrecerá asistencia directa de maestros en un espacio dedicado para ayudar a los estudiantes con tareas, preparación para exámenes y desarrollo de habilidades.

📚 Tutorías disponibles a partir de la próxima semana de 3:30pm a 4:30 pm. Las tutorías después del horario escolar estarán disponibles de lunes a jueves. Esta es una excelente oportunidad para que los estudiantes reciban ayuda adicional en cualquier materia.

📨 Las calificaciones fueron enviadas por correo electrónico el miércoles pasado. Por favor, revise su bandeja de entrada para ver el informe de progreso más reciente de su estudiante. Si no lo recibió, comuníquese con la oficina principal.

The stands were full of Panthers showing their school spirit during our exciting Homecoming Pep Rally! Students enjoyed games on the field, great music, and plenty of energy all around. All of our fall sports teams were there and proudly paraded around the football field, kicking off Homecoming weekend in true Panther style!

¡Las gradas estaban llenas de Panthers mostrando su espíritu escolar durante nuestro emocionante Rally de Regreso a Casa! Los estudiantes disfrutaron de juegos en el campo, buena música y mucha energía por todas partes. ¡Todos nuestros equipos deportivos de otoño estuvieron presentes y desfilaron con orgullo alrededor del campo de fútbol, dando inicio al fin de semana de regreso a casa al estilo Panther!

The energy was positive as our Panthers took the field for the Homecoming game! Students, staff, families, and alumni showed up in full force to support our team and celebrate the Panther spirit. It was a great night filled with pride, connection, and community!

Homecoming Week continued with a fun and festive parade on Saturday morning! Many of our clubs, teams, staff, community members, and local municipalities came together to celebrate and show their Proviso Pride. Our Board of Education members and Superintendent were also there, joining in to celebrate our amazing Panther community!

¡La Semana de Regreso a Casa continuó con un desfile divertido y festivo el sábado por la mañana! Muchos de nuestros clubes, equipos, personal, miembros de la comunidad y municipios locales se unieron para celebrar y mostrar su Orgullo Proviso. ¡Nuestros miembros de la Junta de Educación y la Superintendente también estuvieron presentes, celebrando junto a nuestra increíble comunidad Panther!

Students danced the night away at the Homecoming Dance, enjoying music, laughter, and great company. The energy was high, and everyone looked amazing as they celebrated together. It was the perfect way to end an exciting week full of Panther Pride!
