Adam DiLorenzo
My name is Adam DiLorenzo, and I’m honored to introduce myself as the new Assistant Principal of Athletics and Activities at West Deptford High School.
You’ll find me on the sidelines, in the stands, walking the fields and in the gym, not just as an Assistant Principal, but as a community member who genuinely cares. I’m here to listen, collaborate, and support your children in becoming their best, both on and off the field.
Please feel free to reach out anytime at adilorenzo@wdeptford.k12.nj.us or just stop and say hello. I look forward to working with all of you this year and beyond.
Here’s to a great year!
Erica Hart
My name is Erica Hart and I am a life long lover of learning, all things science, cats, coffee, and books!
I've been teaching science for nearly 10 years, starting as an adjunct professor at Chestnut Hill College outside of Philadelphia, where I earned degrees in molecular biology, chemistry, and secondary education. I also earned a Master of Microbiology from Thomas Jefferson University.
Originally, I am from Pennsylvania, where I was a vet tech but switched to teaching in 2016, and have loved it ever since! I have taught so many different sciences as both a science and special educator and I am thrilled to be sharing my passion with West Deptford this year!
When I am not at school, I spend time on long walks with my husband and our dog, April, lounging with a book and our cat, Marigold in the backyard, working out, and experimenting with new homebrew recipes with my husband.
Gary Lowden
I am entering my 12th year of teaching! I have spent the previous 11 years at Woodstown Middle School, teaching 8th Grade Math and Algebra 1. At home, my wife and I have a 2 ½ year old, Owen, and a 9-month-old, Bennett. We enjoy traveling throughout the Northeast, finding the best coffee shops and playgrounds. When I can find some free time, I enjoy training and running in everything from a 5k to a marathon. I’m excited to begin the school year at West Deptford and look forward to meeting everyone!

BUS TRANSPORTATION ROUTES
WDHS LATE BUS
Late buses are every Wednesday, beginning Wednesday, September 24th. Late buses depart at 2:30 pm. Please be mindful that the stops for the late bus will be outside of the development as there is only 1 late bus for the high school and the late bus runs are typically longer. All students must have a pass to ride the late bus.
Students may not stay after school unless they are supervised by a teacher. If attending a sporting event as a spectator, students must leave the school grounds and return at the beginning of the event.
PARENT AND GUARDIAN DROP OFFS
When dropping off your student, please continue to follow the traffic flow, pull up to the STUDENT DROP OFF SIGN, and encourage your student to exit the car promptly to keep the line moving efficiently.
Also, a friendly note about arrival times—our doors open at 7:05 AM. If you arrive before then and need to wait with your student, please remember that parking in the fire lane directly in front of the school is not permitted. Instead, you’re welcome to park in the visitor lot or along the road by the Guidance Department. Keeping the fire lane clear helps prevent traffic congestion at the school, on Crown Point Rd., and Red Bank Avenue and ensures a smoother drop-off experience for everyone.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a safe and efficient start to the school day!
WDHS PARENT STUDENT HANDBOOK
On behalf of the administration, faculty, and staff, we welcome you to the 2025-2026 school year at West Deptford High School. Whether you are a returning student, a freshman, or a transfer student, we encourage you to review the contents of this handbook since there have been some changes in procedures from previous years.
Our goal is to give our students the skills, knowledge, guidance, and support necessary to help them to become “productive and responsible citizens.”
SCHOOL PICTURES
Pictures of all students will be taken on Monday, September 8, 2025 for Student I.D. cards. ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE AN ID CARD FOR THE 2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR.
If interested in purchasing pictures, a packet will also be emailed home from Lifetouch.
CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE
The West Deptford School District will provide personal insurance for each student's Chromebook throughout your child's high school experience. However, to defer the total cost of the insurance, the district will require parents to pay a one-time, non-refundable insurance fee. All incoming 9th-grade students and students new to West Deptford must submit this fee during the first few weeks of school. Payment information and the required Mandatory Insurance form can be found HERE
The 1:1 Chromebook Initiative Student Guidelines Agreement, including estimated damages pricing, can be found HERE.
BREAKFAST/LUNCH PROGRAM
The cafeteria will serve breakfast and lunches starting the first day of school. WDHS full-price meals for the 2025-26 school year are:
Breakfast: $2.40
Lunch: $3.30
Snack items are available for purchase at various prices.
Please complete the FREE/REDUCED lunch application, when it becomes available as this will ALSO be utilized in reducing payments for Chromebook Insurance fees. Additional information, including free/reduced applications, menus, and more, can be found on our district website Under the "District Info" tab, then "Cafeteria."
These application forms will also be available through INFOSNAP. All parents are requested to fill out the forms online for each student as soon as possible, especially if they believe you qualify for free or reduced lunches.
PLEASE NOTE:
NO DOOR DASH DELIVERIES
PER FEDERAL REGULATIONS, WE MAY NOT ACCEPT DELIVERIES FOR
STUDENTS FROM FAST FOOD CHAINS SUCH AS MC DONALD’S, BURGER KING,
TACO BELL, ETC. - STUDENTS CAN ONLY PURCHASE LUNCHES PROVIDED BY THE SCHOOL CAFETERIA.
LOCKERS
All students may request a hall locker at the beginning of the school year from the Attendance Office. Students in Grades 10, 11, and 12 who did not purchase a lock last year must purchase a LOCK from the school at $5.00 cash or check payable to “West Deptford High School.” The student will be required to use this lock when s/he attends WDHS. Incoming first-year students who purchased locks in the Middle School will be permitted to use their locks at the High School. Please note that students may only use a lock purchased at the High School or Middle School. Any other locks are not acceptable and will be cut off if identified as such.
If a student loses a lock during the year, a new one may be purchased from the Attendance Office for a $5.00 fee. Please make sure students have a lock for the first day of school.

MESSAGE FROM THE SCHOOL NURSE
Every effort should be made to administer daily medications at home. However, there are certain medical conditions that require a dose to be given during the school day. If your child requires medication to be given daily at school, please adhere to the following:
1. Please have your child’s medical provider complete/sign the medication administration form (available from the Nurse tab and then select Printable Forms) on the school’s webpage. The parent/guardian must sign the form as well.
2. The parent/guardian (not the child) must deliver the medication - in its original, labeled container from the pharmacy - to the school nurse for review. With the exception of emergency medication such as asthma rescue inhalers, epinephrine auto-injectors, and diabetes medicines), students are not permitted to have medicine in their possession during the school day; this includes over-the-counter medicines like Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.
3. If your child has asthma and requires a rescue inhaler, a life-threatening food allergy requiring an emergency form of epinephrine, diabetes, seizure disorder, or any other serious medical condition, please have the appropriate forms completed by your child’s medical provider, and turned in to the school nurse.
4. Please be advised that the school nurse is not permitted to treat injuries that occur at home/after school. If you feel that your child should be seen due to an injury, please make every effort to have your child evaluated by a medical professional (emergency room, urgent care, pediatrician, etc.).
5. If your child has an injury or other reason that they cannot participate in PE/gym, please obtain a note from the medical provider who is treating your child. The note should include requests for accommodations such as (if applicable) use of crutches/brace, need for elevator, and if the child needs extra time in between classes. It is important that a note is provided should your child require any use of crutches or walking boot.
The parent/guardian must also complete the INFOSNAP form to give permission for the administration of medications at school.
Please contact the School Nurse, Mrs. Kathryn Dreger, if you have any questions.
