OUR MISSION STATEMENT
We need your help...who is ready and able to help our school?
Bronco families, we need subs! If you have some time or flexibility and want to help our school, please check out the info below about how to sign up to become a substitute. If you fill out the info and set up your appointment for fingerprinting and background check, email me at misti.thomason@lpsb.org so I can watch and see when you're ready to start subbing! I know that we have some Bronco Moms, Dads, Grandmas, Grandpas, Aunts or Uncles that are ready to help and see first hand how hard our staff works each day! Who is ready to help?
What's Happening This Week?
Happy Sunday! This week is Red Ribbon Week and we will celebrate and learn about being drug free! We will end Friday with our Drug Free Candy Spree. Please see the graphic and details below for how your student can participate this week. If your child's outfit doesn't follow the guidelines, we will call for a school uniform. On Friday, we need your help and you can send candy donations or plan to join us for the Candy Spree. Email jenny.petty@lpsb.org for all the details. Our volleyball team will play at Levi Milton on Tuesday. Even with all the fun happening this week, we will have a regular schedule for class and learning. Please help encourage your student to make sure they are following the expectations and school rules in all areas. This means the bus, the classroom, the gym, cafeteria and the playground. We know that our Broncos know how to do the right thing and can try their Bronco Best each day! Thank you for your support to make this a great year to be a Bronco! It's a great week to be a Bronco!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Thomason

Check out the family newsletters below with more information about what we are doing at school and how you can help make connections at home. We committed to Start Strong in August! Starting in September, we will focus on 1 Leadworthy skill each month. October is all about Self-directing/thinking and choosing to do the right thing. Read about this month's Lead worthy skill that we are working to show each day. Staff are watching for Broncos who are showing that skill all month long to celebrate their success at the Bronco Brag Parade.

Thank you Mrs. Denise and Ms. Caroline!
Our speech therapists, Ms. Caroline and Mrs. Denise, are doing a fantastic job! During the data review meeting, they provided valuable insights on each of their students we discussed. Their dedication and concern for their students is evident! They are organized and have a "can do" attitude and give their Bronco Best every day! We are so fortunate to have them as part of our Bronco family!
Thank you Ms. Meyers!
Ms. Meyers is always willing to lend a hand to her fellow Special Education teachers. She is knowledgeable, always ready to listen and help, and cares deeply for her students and it truly shows! We appreciate her!
Thank you Mrs. Liz and Mrs. Katie!
Mrs. Jarman sent this about help at car line!
Ms. Liz and Mrs. Katie are always willing to step in and help out wherever there is a need. I really appreciate their willingness to step in and help at car line even when it is not their day for duty. They are always happy to help and do it with a smile! I am so glad they are part of the car line crew!
Yeenaw Broncos!
Last week the Louisiana Department of Education visited our campus for a compliance check for our paperwork. They just could not stop complimenting our school and our staff! They were impressed with everything being completed and done correctly and loved their visit! Thank you to our entire SPED team, Mrs. Brown and Mrs. Vaughan for your participation in the visit. One of the ladies gave us the best compliment ever-she said this is the type of school that she'd like her grandbabies to go to and that made my week!
Thank you teachers, staff, students and parents for helping us to make our school shine bright!
Parental Involvement Information
Transportation Information
Bus Information
New Cactus driver is starting Monday, October 26th!
If you have not joined your child's bus group on ParentSquare, come by the office and we can help you join. You can also send Mrs. Thomason a message on ParentSquare telling her what bus and she can add you to the bus group. Most parents joined at Meet the Teacher or when you came for Pre-K or K testing. Be aware that Mrs. Thomason is also on the bus group but if you need bus arrival/drop off time estimates, please message the driver. Mrs. Thomason can't drive a bus and can't help with those questions. Our drivers are the experts at that! ;)
Car Pool Information
Car pool parents,
Thank you for a smooth start even with our new PM car pool procedure. Please help us in the car line each morning and afternoon by pulling up and not leaving big gaps in between cars. Please watch and yield to buses at all intersections. You do not have to leave the front driveways open BUT when a bus approaches, stop so the buses can enter and exit the main drive by the office. Please remember that our whole campus is a no smoking zone and a hands free zone and that includes your car in car pool. Please do not go around other cars in line and be alert. A duty teacher will designate the last car that will be unloaded before the bell. All other cars arriving after that last car must go back around to the front, park and walk your student into the office to check them in. Please do not block the bus lane if we're out waiting for a late bus. Duty teachers can't stay out past the bell as they have to get inside to their students. Thanks for your understanding!
