Principal's Corner Principal's Corner

Hello FamiLEE,

Our Juniors participated in their second ACT Success Camp today and we are excited to see their growth in April. Thanks to all the parents and guardians who came out to our Spring Open House on Tuesday and to our Honor Society Induction Ceremony on Thursday! We appreciate all of your support.

I need your help! We have an increase in tardies to school daily. Students are getting to school after 8:30a.m. and late to classes. This is causing students to miss important information in class. We need your assistance with ensuring your child gets to school and class on time. Good attendance is essential for achievement in school and we need your child here as much as possible so that we can move forward as a school community. When your child misses school for any reason, please send excuse notes to LHS.Attendance@hsv-k12.org.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Kitrise Torain

LHS Principal

Shout-Outs Shout-Outs

  • Shout-out to our Freshmen of the Week from this week! Michala Frye comes to us from Chapman Middle. Here at Lee she is in the marching band and plays the trombone. In her spare time she likes to hang out with family and friends. When she graduates from high school she would like to own a restaurant and be a chef. Her favorite teachers at Lee are Ms. Jiang because she is fun and is great at teaching math and Mr. Pearson because he helps her with everything and is funny. Aunterrio Brown comes to us from ASFL Middle. Here at Lee he is on the 9th grade basketball team. In his spare time he likes to play basketball and play video games. When he graduates from high school he wants to be an entrepreneur. His favorite teacher at Lee is Mrs. Roland because she helps him with work and reminds him to do the right thing. Congratulations to both of them for representing our FamiLEE values so well!
