Reading

In UFLI this week we will be focusing on the ck (check, duck, lock) and sh (ship, shape, wish) rules. In Magnetic Literacy we will continue in Unit 2: Art All Around Us. We are going to continue a story this week called Maybe Something Beautiful. We will find the central message of the story and use words and pictures to describe the details in the story. We will make a sculpture as part of our classroom project with this unit. Our super word focus of the week in Magnetic Literacy will be the words from, have look and or. We will work on writing words with diagraph endings -ch and -tch. In Secret Stories we will continue to learn about two vowels go walking- ai, ee and ea. There are so many words in our vocabulary that use the vowel team spelling pattern- please practice at home!
