Smithfield Elementary
August/September 2026
Principal Welcome Back to a Historic School Year
Welcome back!
I hope your summer was filled with rest, adventure, and quality time with loved ones. The start of a new school year is always filled with energy and anticipation, but this year carries an extraordinary milestone. We are stepping into a school year that connects our daily learning to a remarkable legacy.
As our Nation marks America's Semiquincentennial (250th Anniversary), our very own school is celebrating its Centennial (100th Anniversary)!
Just as our country was built on principles of community, curiosity, and collaboration, our school community thrives when we work together to support every child's growth. We are proud to have Smithfield Elementary as a part of the community for a full century helping children learn to read, solve their first math problems, and build lifelong friendships.
Please make sure to read our monthly newsletters and check our school website and Dojo for important updates and announcements.
We also encourage you to reach out to your child's teacher or the front office if you ever have any questions or concerns (570) 421-2841.
Here's to a wonderful and successful school year together and the beginning of another new chapter for our school!
